Gone Bananas has been a staple on Mission Beach for over 30 years. Since 1975 Gone Bananas has been searching for the hottest trends and beachwear for women in San Diego and beyond. It has now grown to be one of the largest swimwear boutiques anywhere. We now have over 15, 000 pieces of women's swimwear year round. Owner Tom O'Hara has watched Gone Bananas evolve from a boutique searching for it's identity to a beach fashion staple. Gone Bananas once reached over 6 stores around San Diego county but Tom O'Hara wanted to scale back to focus primarily on it's growing beach identity. Now the sole 2500 sq.ft. Mission Beach location is the foremost place to find the hottest new trends in swimwear. To keep the familiar and friendly atmosphere that has been a Gone Bananas staple Tom's two sons are now making this a family business. If you are in the area come on down to Gone Bananas and find that we are making shopping for swimwear a pleasure as opposed to the typical pain.
