I would never recommend anyone get their dress from here! The seamstress does not want to be bothered by any alterations you think you need! I went there for my second fitting (I drive over and hour to get there) had an appt was maybe there 5 mins because she would bother to come out and see what my concerns were. I wanted my boning shortened since I have a short torso. She had one of the guys from the front desk pin it and send me on my way. I went back for final fitting and still had to have the boning shortened because she didn't touch it! The beading was only half put back on the sides of my dress (she took it all off to alter it) and she just said o I will add more. I then also asked her alter my slip since when I put it on it fell down which she was aggravated with me about. They were suppose to alter it and steam my dress. When my mom went to pick up my dress she went to check the bag to make sure my veil and slip were in there and to make sure the beading and steaming looked alright! The lady yelled at her and told her to leave it alone it was all in there and fine and would not let her in the bag! My mom brought it straight to my house and hung it up high in the middle of the spare room. The dress hung for over 15 hours and where the dress hit my hip was all flipped up! And they barely did any alterations to my slip! Just folded in the top stiched it and called it a day. I had to get my dress resteamed and the. Had my slip realtered which they had to end up taking in a total of 4 more inches!! And the little beading she put back on was off in an hour!

The Wedding Gallery has two locations. I would give 5 stars to the location on 2nd St in St. Charles. I am not interested in paying over $1000 for a wedding dress, so I went to their outlet location and was VERY happy with the sales person. Even though there were not a lot of dresses to choose from, she was able to suggest one that completely flatters my figure, and makes me look stunning and feel beautiful.



So, why would I give this business 1 star? It is the Clark St. location, where they do the fittings and control the rest of the experience that is the problem.



I ordered a bolero the day I purchased my dress. I was told it was something they normally had plenty of in stock in several sizes but they had run out. They were just putting an order in and made sure my size would be included. Since this was normally a stock item, it would be in the store by the time of my fitting.



I went for my fitting and the bolero wasn't in. I was assured it would arrive while they were working on the hem (the only alteration the gown needed) and they would hold it with my dress so I could try it on at my second fitting.



I just got back from my second fitting and the bolero still isn't in. I was given every excuse possible. First I was told I scheduled my appointment early. I explained that I had been told to get in right away for a fitting since there wasn't a lot of time. I bought the dress on July 5, which is when I ordered the bolero. My wedding is on Oct. 3. I got in for my first fitting on July 7 and gave the seamstress as much time as she wanted before scheduling the next fitting.



So then I was told they were doing a special rush for me. It was pointed out in the contract that orders of GOWNS take 4-5 months. They have my wedding date in their paperwork. Obviously, they knew I didn't have 4-5 months. I was never told it would be a rush order. And, besides, this isn't a gown. It is a simple jacket.



Then I was told it was a special order. Again, pointing to the contract...which said, "on order". NOT a special order. It's a regularly stocked jacket.



If you don't want to worry about your dress being ready in time, and don't want to deal with being given excuse after excuse, don't go to the Wedding Gallery. If you want help picking out a great dress (from last season) at a great price, go to the 2nd St shop and find your own seamstress to do the alterations.

Horrible customer service. I came in looking for a slip for my dress on a Friday. They told me a mermaid slip would be better for my dress. When I had my dress fitted it did not due what it was supposed to do for my ball gown dress. I called them the next day to see if I could just trade it for another style, they said no. What I thought was my credit card receipt when I sign was "no exchanges or returns". DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL!!!! I tried on a dress that was out of my budget. Of course fell in love with it. The 'old' blonde/grey haired boss lady walked out of the fitting area and called someone came back stating "This must be your dress and your lucky day, because it is discontinued, and we can give it to you for $800" I look the dress over because it had a few things wrong, and she said they will FIX anything wrong with it (makeup stain, loops that were busted, blah blah) I purchased the dress on their "layaway" WHEN I WENT SHOPPING FOR BRIDESMAID DRESSES, I SEEN THE SAME DRESS, ASKED THE BRIDAL SHOP IF IT WAS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE AND THEY SAID IT JUST CAME OUT!!!! AND IT WAS ONLY $925 BRAND NEW!!!! Because I had already paid 500 towards the dress and had the thought they would fix it like new I just continued to keep paying, because this was the dress I wanted. I Just picked it up - was told they CANNOT do the alterations due to being to full (my wedding is in 6 months!!), and WILL NOT fix the dress - and because I had signed an "as is" receipt I don't have a leg to stand on!!! These people will do ANYTHING to get you to spend money!! Please DO NOT TRUST THEM!!! I have a dress that I have to spend another 300or more on to have it fixed by someone else, and will now be spending more ON A FLOOR SAMPLE than had I just bought the new one from the other TRUTHFUL bridal store!

I bought my wedding dress from Wedding Gallery back in 2007. The store- at it's old location was pretty new, and I was hesitant to buy there b/c you see so many bridal stores come and go. After meeting with the owner, I was sold! Very personal attention. She encouraged me to try on dresses in styles I hadn't considered, and I ended up finding my dress straight off the rack! She said it fit so well that she knew it only needed minimum alterations, and she offered to do those for free. I also had planned on not wearing a veil, but once I saw the detail and intricate work she does on hers, I knew I'd wear one for the wedding. I looked at hundreds of dresses all over town, and couldn't have been happier with any of them. I am so glad to see that they have expanded and that Nagwa's business is growing. I also got my bridesmaid's gowns there, and they were very reasonably priced as well!

The Wedding Gallery is a wonderful place for alterations. I already had my gown purchased, but went to Nagwa for my alterations. She is wonderful!! Very helpful, very nice. Gives great suggestions. I was a plus sized bride and she gave great ideas on how to alter my dress so it fit my shape perfectly. Everytime I went for a fitting, she was there and remembered who I was, that was nice. You fell like a bride and not just "another customer". I would highly reccomend going to Wedding Gallery. It was one less thing I had to worry about while getting ready for the big day.

I am getting married May 09 and had my heart set on an Alfred Angelo Gown. Not many places in St Louis Carry his line and I was able to find a couple places on his website. There is a store that is 5 mins from my house in Florissant that carry his line, but once I found The Wedding Gallery in St Charles I was sold on going out there. I was nervous about going to a smaller shop, but WOW. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! When I walked in I was greeted right away and Nagwa, the owner, never left my side as I tried on just about every Alfred Angelo dress she had in the store. She helped me get dressed when we couldnt figure out the dresses (they can be complicated). I just love it there!!! I have probably been in there a good dozen times in the past six months b/c I was so undecided on a dress. Just this weekend I finally made up my mind and went in for a final time of playing dress up. Well...the discount promotion Alfred Angelo was running had expired (sadly) BUT she gave it to me anyways b/c she knew I had my heart set on him and this dress. She even gave me the discount with only putting $200 down on the dress. The dress is an $800 dress and I need half down to even order. So only a small portion of it paid and she wrote in the discount. We also need 15 tuxes, so she gave me two order forms to fill out so that we can get 2 free instead of just the groom...also giving us a discount on the little guys tuxes and bridesmaids gowns. The most helpful place I have ever been!!!!!!!!! We can stay there and visit for hours just chatting with her and we always get a hug as we leave....it is a WONDERFUL place to go...I recommend it to EVERYONE!!! Oh...on top of everything else they are very reasonable on alterations and dont charge for steaming like David's does. She also hand makes her veils and is going to make one personally to compliment my dress...AMAZING!!!!! No pressuring sales tactics here just amazing customer service!

My daughter is getting married in July and after looking at a couple of the typical places we happened upon The Wedding Gallery, The wedding dresses are beautifully made, and the prices are Great! we were able to buy a gorgeous couture gown one of a kind at half the price..............

We went to Davids and the gowns were 5 of a kind to each size and polyester, see through and horribly over priced! I sew and know a decent garment.

Please do not miss this place! and the owner is so wonderful to work with, my daughter is so happy with her gown, and I feel I've spent my money wisely.
