These wonderful people have been making it possible for me to spay/neuter feral and dumped cats/kittens in my neighborhood. Without them, I could never afford to help these defenseless animals. They are a wonderful service to the community and make it possible for people to make a difference.

Last September, I was ready to humanely euthanize a 10-year-old Dachshund that I had "inherited" when her owner died. The dog could not even stand anymore - it was time. I called the low-cost vet, & was told they would have to charge me an exam fee before they could euthanize her, which would be another charge.

I took her to my vet, who said "you know your pet better than we do, & we trust your judgement. It's about the animal's quality of life".

I'm sure this clinic helps a lot of low income folks keep their pets healthy, but I think this particular policy needs some reconsideration, especially for those who are watching every penny.
