Deep Tissue Massage
Bethanie has been a massage therapist for almost 12 years, after graduating from the Arizona School of Massage Therapy. She approaches massage as both a physical and spiritual healing process. Usually physical pain transfers into shorter tempers, impatience, loss of energy, and can lead to stages of depression. This is not good for everyday living. Most individuals believe they have to live with this physical and emotional pain. This is widely a misconception. Massage is a fascinating tool with several modalities (types of massage) that allows us to address certain areas where the pain can be the most intense and alleviate it. Bethanie’s favorite modalities for alleviating chronic pain are a combination of therapies that include deep tissue (moderate to deep, but she does not perform extreme deep tissue massage), trigger point, relaxation techniques, and injury protocols. This allows her to work down to the deeper layer of muscles and address anything that could be referring pain. She also highly recommends the deep heat treatment with these types of massages, as it allows for a deeper massage without some of the pain. The Prosage and Biofreeze also continues to work after the massage, allowing for faster recovery and less soreness.

Chiropractic Adjustments
The chiropractic adjustment is a quick thrust applied to a vertebra for the purpose of correcting its position, movement or both. Adjustments are often accompanied by an audible release of gas that sounds like a 'crack.' The sound sometimes shocks people a little bit the first couple times they get adjusted, but the sensation is usually relieving. Occasionally, minor discomfort is experienced, especially if the surrounding muscles are in spasm or the patient tenses up during the chiropractic procedure.
