Having trained in a traditional style of martial arts for several years, I was skeptical about where I would resume my training after moving from NYC to Nassau County. My sensei had retired in 2005, and then I had back and leg problems that kept me out of the dojo for a time. I was willing to shop for another sensei at another dojo, and that's how I found Sensei Adel. The training has far exceeded my expectations, with each sensei contributing their unique experience and training to their students' development. The style is Shotokan Karate, which is very similar to my previous training. At Adels, they instill respect for the art, discipline that generalizes to the rest of my endeavors, and an enthusiasm for the training. I couldn't be more pleased.

Kudos to Adel's International Karate Center-a dojo of excellence for karate training! My children studied Shotokan karate at this school and attained their black belts under the instruction of Sensei Adel and his staff. It didn't take long for me to begin my study of karate here too! Sensei has years of experience training students in the dojo but also coaching them for state, national and international competitions. His staff instructors are highly qualified (some are USA-NKF Karate Champions) and very professional in terms of how they teach students and run classes. This school has been around for a long time and with good reason. Sensei and his staff have taught the students what karate is about..it is a way of life...discipline, respect, and honor.

Without Question the Review of Pamela Shantz is a slanderous and libelous straight forward lie. THE TRUTH: My two children have attended this Fine School for over 8 years, and then I became a student as well in the adult class. Sensei Adel, Jason and Brian, among other guest Sensei, are some of the finest teachers I have come to know. They all put their heart and soul into each class, teaching my children and I about karate as a Life pursuit and how to defend ourselves, if and when necessary. I have seen improved discipline, courtesy and actual positive behavioral changes, which stem from the Sensei and the Karate Classes at the school. My children and I, are ultimately more self-confident and self-determined. Performance is stressed and self improvement is acquired. IF YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN ARE NOT STUDENTS AT THIS SCHOOL YOU ARE MISSING THE PERFECTION IN THE PURSUIT OF SHOTOKAN KARATE.
