Little Bears was founded out of love. Cindy Cromwell founded Little Bears in 1987, she wanted a place where children could feel loved while learning. Where parents could go to work with piece of mind that their child would be loved as if they were being cared for by Grandma for the day, and yet still be learning. A place where learning was extended outside of the classroom for young minds to explore. Being raised on a farm down the street from Little Bears, Cindy love to appreciate nature and wanted to share that love with children by purchasing a large track of land to start Little Bears. Over the past 25 years Little Bears has changed from a small remodeled farm house to five buildings designed to house each age group. But one thing has always stayed true, the love for children and learning. Many of our Little Bears children's parents attended Little Bears when they were small and remember the same loving staff members that are still at Little Bears today. Many of Little Bears graduates still stay in contact and have gone on to become many things, many are now, teachers, nurses, firemen, lawyers, police officers, doctors and even a drummer in a national band. Many stop by or email to reminisce about the good ole days at Little Bears and many are surprised to see a picture of themselves still on Mrs. Cindy's wall. Little Bears started out as just one woman's labor of love for children and grew into a large family of families caring for each generation to come.

Our experienced drivers at Little Bears receive continuing education classes twice a year in transportation procedures from the Department of Human Services. Our drivers also participate in an annual training class provided by Tennessee Highway Patrol's Department of Safety. All drivers undergo a background check, random drug testing and driving record clearance. Each driver is certified in CPR and First Aid. At Little Bears we only employee drivers that we would feel comfortable transporting our own children.
