Said I crashed the jet ski (which I did not) and somehow broke the fiberglass, they charged me $50 to fix it, what a scam, never going here again.

Not impressed at all. We are owner's at Bluegreen therefore we were staying at Hammocks at Marathon we were referred to Jerry's for a boat rental. To say the least the owner is extremely rude and not friendly at all no customer service at all. We rented the Deck Boat! WOW what an experience I know that some boat speeds are altered but this was crazy! This boat did not have speed at all. It took us over an hour to get to a local sandbar that should have taken us 20 min to get to. Just crazy! When we called they said that it was because we had 8 people on the boat! Seriously!!!! Funny how when we got back to the dock the boat was still on FULL and the guy told us he was going to charge us $60.00 to fill up the boat so my husband took it to the Marina to put gas and lets just say with 2 people the boat went the same speed it did with 8 people. HORRIBLE SERVICE, HORRIBLE BOAT! NEVER AGAIN! They should really work on customer service after all they would get alot more business! DONT RENT FROM THEM!

Terrible Experience after their equipment failed! Stay away from this place! We are locals and wanted to take family out on the boat who were visiting from out of town. The service from the guy that got us into the boat was fine, however, while out on the flats, we had an issue with the anchor. We were leaving to head back and pulled up the anchor. You can imagine our surprise when the anchor was not at the end of the rope! It had broken off! We spent over an hour looking for that darn anchor, to no avail. It was a windy day and not sunny enough to see the bottom well (only in about 4' of water). We headed back to return the boat thinking that we would not be charged for the anchor, after all, it wasn't our negligence. All we did was pull up our anchor. Well, surprise, surprise. The woman there (the owner I believe) was quite the b**tch about it. She told us she would be charging us $30 for the missing anchor! Are you kidding me?? She argued with us about it and was not very professional. How can it be our fault just by pulling up an anchor, what did she want us to do, swim down to the anchor and pick it up and not use the rope?? Her equipment was obviously faulty and the anchor broke loose. I am a local and I find this very disturbing. She may be able to treat tourists this way who will never see her again, but I live here and meet new residents of the Keys every day in my own business, and I will definitely never recommend Jerry's Water Sports! As a person who has my own business, I understand that sometimes you have to take a hit to keep your customers happy, especially those that will refer customers to you. And she did not. Bad move, Jerry's Water Sports! Shame on you!

Stay away!!!! Old Boats and ol...

Stay away!!!! Old Boats and old equipment. $205.00 a day boat rental ends up costing me almost $450.00 for 1 day on the reef. The gas gauge was broken, the depht finder was broken, The anchor broke off the old rotten anchor rope, and The motor was worn out, so it was not enough power for the 21' boat. One staff member told us it usually cost between $50.00 - $100.00 for gas to go out to the reef and fish for the day. Before we returned, we filled the tank up till the gage said it was full this took 15 minutes to fill and cost $40.00 @$3.95 per gallon. We returned the boat (around 3 miles away) Now the gas hand showed it was half full, So the owner filled the tank up and charged me $5.00 per gallon for a total of $190.00 and it only took him only 5 minutes. We had to take his word for the amount of gas he put in. The staff member said it was my fault because I sould have returned the boat when I noticed the gas gage was broken, but we didn't know it broken until she told us it was. This gas scam they run on people from out of town is a very bad way to make money off people that don't have time or money to sue them. The next day I met a Sheriff's deputy and his responce was o'well you can take them to court and then he turned and walked off with out even a "kiss my _ss" responce. Marathon _ucks, stay away it's not a freindly place!!!!

Older boats

Friendly staff, but older boats. If you are looking for a nicer boat this is not the place.
