I had my boat there for 2 seasons and I wrote a book called Saving Someday about that experience. I have nothing but praise for these people They are generous, friendly and considerate to a fault. The only problem I had was my own damned stupidity. I made a 'side deal' with somebody I shouldn't have. I'd go back tomorrow.
Glbtbiker didn't fill you in on the whole story. If you would like a correct events that happened that day please call me and I will assist you. New boat owners can sometimes misunderstand how bottom paint works. One thing you should avoid is putting hard paints over soft paint to avoid your new paint job from failing and falling off. Once you get an estimate and decide to change the estimate later the price may change. Have a nice day and happy boating.
Had it been a movie, I can't decide if it would be a comedy or tragedy. No one could find my paperwork or work order, rather than walking 20 yards to see the boat, they quoted me more than the initial telephone quote. The owner only spoke to me through his wife and couldn't be bothered to get out of his chair and introduce himself. There were no decision makers, no one could answer my questions or offer any assistance. I had been in their calendar for over a week, but it was evident they had no interest in working. Any of their recommended on site vendors were the same. It was as if I had stepped into the twilight zone. Avoid this business! Do your research! You have options! You'll find plenty of reputable, pleasant business in Marathon.
Unbelievable Marina! They have a newly renovated Oceanfront Beach House that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and the 7 Mile Bridge. What amazing sunsets. They also just finished their new RV Resort for Big Rig Rvs. Lazy Days Restaurant is fantastic! The food is superb, and the "Happy Hour" drinks are great! They have a beautiful resort style pool and a great fitness center. What more can you ask for...And this is a Marina!
