We were so pleased with our visit. Greeted immediately as we walked in the door. We were called back at our exact appoimtment time. From the front desk to the technician to the doctor, we were treated with respect and they treated us like family. Dr. Barron listed to our concerns and answered all of our questions. Great clinic!

Treat their employees very poorly in front of customers. Would not trust them to care for my pets. Will not be back

I called for a quote on mites. Allison quoted me $37 + cost of ear Rx. My Rx was $26 but my bill was $91. A tattooed tech who worked there called me a LIAR when I quoted Allison directly. I paid $71 and left. WORST experience in my entire Life. Buyer beware. Very disrespectful to a new client, or any client for that matter. 😳

Have been going to this clinic for 30 years and they have taken wonderful care of my many pets over the years, would not go anywhere else.

The vets at Shackleford Road Vet Clinic are totally awesome! My dog had to have surgery for a torn ACL. She was terrified to be left there. The staff was very helpful and did everything possible to make sure my dog was comfortable for the process. They treated her like a queen. I would recommend this vet to any pet owner.

Excellent vets! Dr. Smith has cared for my dogs for over 20 years. Would not trust them with any other clinic.

Each day Luke made me want to be a better person. He also was an excellent judge of character. His tail wagged even while Dr. Smith held him and cut his nails while talking to me !

The day came when I knew the lights in his soulful little eyes began to go out. Dr. Smith's compassion and care made that heart-breaking day bearable.

The clinic also sent a sweet sympathy card.

Even the smallest acts of kindness can be immeasureable...

I have taken my cats to Dr. Smith for over 20 years, and this place is great, I had an emergency one night right before they closed when one of my cats was throwing up blood, and the vet stayed even though they were closing to work on my cat instead of just sending me to the emergency vet. Super nice guy. The prices are low and the employees are really nice and helpful also. The other vet they have there (can't remember name) is nice, too- I've seen him before with Lucky & Sasha my kitties and they warmed up to him right away. We love this place and won't go anywhere else.





Responding to the negative review: I don't believe one word of this guy's story. Personally, I know that if this story were true, it would be terrible indeed, and if that is how Dr Smith did business, he wouldn't have a thriving practice and life-long clients. Unfortunately, having known& used Dr. Smith for a long time I know better than what this guy is saying. He is not the sort of man who would "lie" to a person about their pet! I am sorry for your loss, but animals don't live forever. Your pet died from complications, not from lack of care or professionalism. Maybe you should have opted NOT to get an abortion for your dog in the first place, or been a more responsible owner to ensure your dog didn't end up in that situation! It's always easier to award blame to someone other than ourselves. Dr. Smith probably didn't charge you because he didn't want to deal with your drama. Threats are the tactics of the weak.

This has got to be one of the nicest clinics in Little Rock. Dr. Smith is wonderful- very knowledgeable and kind. He performed a very difficult surgery on my mastiff who weighs over 200lbs and now he is able to walk again as if nothing ever happened to him! I have many friends and family members who use him as well, and are all very pleased with him. I think the person who wrote the negative review is probably just hurt over the loss of their animal. I cannot imagine Dr. Smith ever "lying". Especially concerning the well-being of an animal. Anyway, we love him and the staff and will never go anywhere else as long as he is practicing medicine!

I came in the first time by word of mouth referral from a friend when my cat, Pickles, was attacked by another cat and had to get stiches and an abscess drained. It was a very scary time. The nurses were amazing! They even let me drop her off before they opened so I could make it to work on time! They were so caring and the doctor even called and left me a message with an update about her condition, personally! I just called now, many months later about fleas and I spoke with Lisa who was amazingly helpful! Every interaction I've had with them has been so great.

took my schnauzer in for abortion, dr. smith cut her kidney's and lied about it for a week, while keeping my dog on life support, and telling different stories to me and my family. i had necropsy performed and proved he was at fault. he then sent me a bill for her care. i called and told him, I BURIED MY PET, YOU BURY THIS BILL, or i'll sue you. he never sent another bill. i did tell him, i would put the word out about his bad services, and i will continue until the day i die. so other pets wont have to die, unneccesarily.
