HOLY HELL Reiss Realty/Properties/Corporation:

So as most of you know, my dad past away in August. Well, since then my mother has been scrambling to get out of their house in North Carolina, because she simply can't afford it, due to the reduction of income. She finds a house here in Vegas that she wants to rent (with the option to buy) She was negotiating the deal with this Reiss company. Application was all filled out and everything. Well, these guys needed an actual human signature and $45 cash to process the app. I, being the only person currently in Vegas, needed to go down and make the payment and sign. I wake up at noon (6am by my schedule) go in there and say "Hi, I'm here to pay for my mom's application fee." This guy looks up at me and says "wow, if only you had been here 10 minutes earlier....someone else just got approved for that house." Then he proceeds to ask me, "would you like to leave the $45 here, in case they back out?" I said "Let me call my sister and ask what they want to do". As I'm talking to my sister, another lady walks in, the guy says, "Hey guess who this is?" She asked "who?" He says "The other people that wanted that house that we just approved." The lady says "I knew we shouldn't have..." and then stops herself from finishing her sentence. She then leaves the room. So, I'm still talking on the phone and trying to talk loud enough for him to hear what an inconvenience this all is and then the guys says "ya snooze, ya loose." No apology?!? I would like to thank Reiss Realty/Properties for not only making me wake up and drive for 35 min to their office for no reason, but for also negotiating a deal for 2 WEEKS, with a 76 year old, recently widowed lady, who's husband served this country in two wars, for a house that she really wanted and then letting someone else just come in and take it. I understand that it's on a first come first serve basis, but had no idea how corporate greed is so cut throat and ugly. Reiss Realty, your employees are rude and just because you HAVE a business doesn't mean you have business ethics. Your company sucks and I will not rest until EVERYONE knows just how much!!!

My wife and I have worked directly with Calia and team for 10 years. We live in CA and rent out our home in Las Vegas. Im surprised by all the negative reviews from both homeowners and renters.

Obviously I cant speak to the renter side, but i can tell you that Reiss Property Management team is on the ball with keeping things clean and updated for the tenant. While i don't enjoy seeing extra expenses on my monthly statement, I know that things are not left to rot and that our beloved home is in good hands. From a renters perspective this is what you want to hear. Homes in Vegas take a beating from the dry hot weather. When you rent from Reiss the home will always look presentable, fresh and things are fixed quite swiftly.

In addition to keeping the house in presentable and working order (pool, landscape ect.) Calia will get involved when you are dealing with a HOA dispute or a issue with a neighbor.

ZERO stars. Calia made the entire renting process absolutely HORRIBLE!!!! She has THE WORST customer service skills I have ever experienced. I am actually partially happy that we didn't end up getting the house we applied for. I will never have to deal with her again! I couldn't handle so many anxiety attacks from a single human being. She should NOT be working with other people. RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!!!

If you want to lease out your house, beware of these losers. The reason your house sits vacant on the market for months and months is because they use an answering service as a go between, and then never return calls. So, everyone who calls is not being responded to even if they call back a few times, which means your house sits on the market, vacant, no income, etc. This has nothing to do with lack of interest from prospective tenants in the market place or your house. Reiss just doesn't return anyone's calls or make any effort to lease your house.

Calia and Erika are by far the absolute worst people to ever work for a property management company. Reiss Properties should really look at who they have representing them. Erika has absolutely no written communication skills and has an I don't care attitude. Calia is rude and didn't want to hear anything I had to say with my dealings with Erika. I would avoid renting from this company at all costs!!!

Renters beware! I could spent several hours explaining why this rental agency is horrible to deal with and employs rude people (Calia and Erika). Look, I get that Las Vegas is a tough town and they probably deal with many losers and squatters on a daily basis. But to treat everyone as if they were in that category is simply unprofessional and uncalled for. We paid our rent on time EVERY month with zero mistakes. These ladies were rude and impossible to deal with when situations and misunderstandings would occasionally arise. If you rent from this company, prepare yourself for a nightmare. If we could rate them less than one star, we would.

Steve and Claudia are very rude. Michael Reiss is a nice guy, but has hired the two rudest, most incompetent, morons imaginable. These people scammed me out of $350 after stealing it out of my deposit. We rented from these people for 1.5 years. We had a 3BR house and we are single family. Before we left we spent a couple hundred to get it spotless and our lawn guy came (as he did every month) to get the lawn in order. They still charged us $150 for the lawn service and $100 for cleaning service. What they do is, they wait until the end of the month to take pictures of the lawn and the house. Of course after a month of no one living in it the weeds are going to grow back and the house is going to get dusty. Then they take pictures of everything and charge you double. This is the most unethical and conniving company I have ever dealt with. If you have a chance to talk to Claudia or Steve, just punch yourself in the face, you'll have a better time with it.
