Celebration Eye Care

I have been doing business here for 10 years and trust the doctor and staff implicitly. They notify me when it is time for my annual check up and always do a complete exam. They never recommend something I do not need.

The doctor is wonderful, but she cannot make up for the horrible service provided by most of the office staff. I have yet to receive one return call from the many voice mail messages left for the optical department. And this is over the course of one year and several issues, not one isolated incident.



Frames and lenses take 5+ weeks (the "lab" is always to blame) and eye exams, as others have noted here and on other review sites, take 2-3 hours.



Friends have encouraged me to share my feedback with the office manager, to help them improve their business. I'm feeling more like, due to the location of this office, these people have a constant stream of new patients and could really care less if you are satisfied or not. If you don't come back, another new patient is around the corner.

I would highly recommend that you go to a different eye care provider. The doctor, Ms Grande, is unprofessional, does not appear to be trustworthy, and quite frankly either had a bad day or is outright unqualified to fit contacts. I have been a contact wearer for 25 years and choose this optician only because my ophthalmologist was out of network with my new insurance carrier.



I was having no problems seeing distance or up close and simply needed an updated prescription so that I could replenish my contact supply. Ms. Grande examined my eyes and wanted to change my prescription. I could not even read the signs in her waiting room with the first set of lenses that she prescribed. When I told her that I couldn't see she lectured me about contact lenses and vision, explained to me that she knew the ophthalmologist I had used for years and told me that "I know your previous doctor. He doesn't fit contacts and doesn't know how". She then reached in my eye with an unwashed finger to rotate the astigmatism lens.



She changed the prescription again and I was still unable to see. Finally she decided to match the prescription of the lenses that I already had but she did not have them in stock. She wanted me to wait two weeks until she could get some in stock. I told her that I had unopened lenses in my truck but she refused to examine my eyes using them stating that "the lenses must come from my office".



Three hours after my arrival I had to schedule an appointment for two weeks out. During that time I decided to return to my ophthalmologist. In less than 45 minutes in his office I had my eyes examined by a licensed medical doctor, received an updated prescription that allowed me to see clearly (and matched my old prescription), and ended up paying less without insurance coverage than I did at Celebration Eye Care with coverage.



In short, my visit to Ms. Grande was a bad and expensive waste of time.
