        Great buffet

        It had been a while since I've eaten there. It was a memorable dinner of stuffed flounder in a wine sauce. This week we stopped for lunch. There was a seafood buffet including a variety of salads, gumbos, a good selection of seafood both deep fried and broiled, pasta dishes and a very good
        banana pudding. The food was tasty and I had a great sweet peach tea. We were all well satisfied and we will go back.

        The only reason, and I do mean ONLY reason, they get one star is because the food was decent. The price sucked for the amount of food that was given. Our waiter was slow and it took him 15 minutes just to get the premade dessert... Then before that, he took 20 minutes to get our drinks to us after ordering them, and to no surprise, they just happened to be...you guessed it, water. The food wasn't even steaming hot when we got it. I love seafood, but that place is just horrible with service. I mean, $50 for 2 people to eat at a not even high-quality restaurant, that's just terrible.

        No luck at the Katy's Landry's

        We had reserved our table for 8:00 p.m. and had asked for a quiet table.

        When we arrived, we were told that we had to wait for 15 minutes.

        We went at the bar, ordered a marguerita, which was actually more a watered out limon juice with tequila than a real marguerita.

        We ordered oysters, and waited... and waited... and waited.

        Eventually, our name was called, and we were given a table close to the entrance door, one of the busiest ones.

        Then, we waited... and waited.

        Another 15 minutes went by with no waitor to drop by, despite our requests.

        As far as the oysters, none were in view.

        Eventually, the manager dropped by to take our order, and we waited...and waited...

        The oysters showed up, very salty with no juice.

        And then we waited, and waited.

        Our main course showed up, pretty good fish (hence my one star).

        And the bill showed up, with a pretty huge mistake (in the favor of the restaurant).

        When we left, noone was there to wish us a happy evening, nor did we wish any luck to that Landry's of Katy, TX
