Sam's Hudson Beach Restaurant

Waiter who was sitting us was rude and when I asked him to be nice he ignored me. When he started to walk away i told my guest that was with us “I guess they are not very friedly here.” He heard me and said in a sarcastic tone, lady I was only kidding. He then went one to say maybe you will want someone else to wait on you then and I said yes, that woulf be fine. Was not impressed with the place so we just had a desert and left.

Poor service waiting over 40 minutes for a table, while there were tables empty the whole time we waited. Waitress poor attitude and service her name was Tina. She didn't come check on us after bringing our food to the table we waited and waited for our ticket finally went to the front to get a ticket so we could leave. The fish wasn't fresh it was clearly bought frozen processed fish. Complained to the manager all she did was offer "the kids" a free dessert. Um no we were about to get in a car... All around poor service!

Great food and wonderful waiters everything is home cooked. We love there fried pickles and mushrooms. Wonderful views of the gulf

Not worth one star. The food is nasty, not even bar style quality!



Get a real cook and a friendlier manager!

I have been asked about this place many times if it was good. Never knew the answer till my wife and I went there in January and it was pretty good. We went back today, April 14, 2011 and ate. Our watress Sara was great. The food was horrible. Over cooked calimari that we returned and still the next batch was the same. My wike got a cobb salad that was $12. No tomatoes on it even and it had cucumber cheese and lettuce. Oh and bacon bits not even real bacon. I got the pork sammy and it was overcooked and took most home to the dog. Just expected more for $50.00. Then when leaving went to the bathroom and the bus boy was in there smoking in the stall. When i tried to call and speak to a manager about this, a ms. Teresa informed my they were busy and to come back up there if I wanted to talk to them. Word of advise, a manager is NEVER to busy to speak to a guest! I didn't want anything free just wanted to let them know about the experiance. Overall not good and kinda junky. To many other places on the water to spend any other money at this one.

I used to love the food and the atmosphere, now I only enjoy the latter. The food is so mediocre and not cheap! Disappointing- only good for sitting by the beach and drinking some beer.
