Overall

The service was horrible, I was polite to the owner at the cash register about my complaint and she told me "deal with it", I will never eat there again, very over priced and was offended, the food was not well at all either, I'm not one to ever complain but my experience was bad enough to write a review, and I have never walked out from a bad experience I paid for to have the local sheriff tell me that they have had a drug problem and break in's in the parking lot because of the area, I do not recommend this so called restaurant again,

Overall

Moved back to the area, and my regular Burger grill was packed. Saw the newer (for me being out of area for some time) place and we decided to stop in. Ordered a Jalapeno burger with homemade chips, husband got the Salt 'n Pepper Catfish and baked potato.

The food arrived, looked ok, nothing special. He did get three pieces for fish. it was ok, not fishy. However for Salt and Pepper Fish it was very bland. My burger did not have any peppers on in, when I asked the waitress she said, "we do not carry peppers, we put Texas Pete on it, I can bring you some more in the bottle". This upset me a bit as texas pete has a level 1 on a 10 scale of heat to me... but went ahead to eat it. The burger was ok, a bit plain, with what appeared to be salsa mixed in rather then peppers in the meat, I did get one bite that had a sliver of pepper, this bite was good.

I tried the Home made chips, and spit them out right away, as did my husband. They were undercooked and so floppy they were nearly raw. There was no salt or seasoning on them. I did request a different side, and was given one, but told that most people want their chips floppy, you have to ASK FOR THEM TO BE COOKED.

This is not what SOUTHERN FOOD IS, they spend more time trying to seem unsophisticated (miss spelling entire menu) they do not season or fully cook. Also do not provide what is listed on menu.

for the $18.50 we were charged we could have eaten at a more upscale better atmosphere pub in Hickory for 5 min drive.
