The Landing Student Living

I wouldn't refer anyone to live here. I just moved in on August 15th. The Exchange is a rip off. They advertise for alot of things that aren't as they seem. They show you a model that looks very pretty but that's not how things are. When we moved in our carpet was dirty. They didn't clean the carpet at all. They didn't even vacuum it. I've been staying here for exactly two weeks and they still haven't cleaned our carpet. They keep giving us the run around. They do not respond to complaints in a timely manner. You have to keep calling. We even went to the leasing office many times. As for our carpet The the property manager was telling us don't worry about it b/c they won't charge us for it. That's not the point. This should have been taken care of before we moved in. Also when we moved in the "improved internet service" that they are advertising for was not working. We had to complain almost everyday for them to fix it. We just got it fixed two days ago. When we moved in there was gum in our dryer. Our top lock was messed up. To me it seemed as though they didn't do any work to the apartment other than paint. I'm sure they charged the previous tenants for the spots on our carpet which isn't fair b/c they didn't even clean the carpet. All utilities are not included as advertised. They only give 30 something toward electricity. I'm not sure if they advertise The Exchange as a gated community but the gates are open very often. We moved in August 15th but were required to pay a FULL month's rent on that day which doesn't make sense. The apartment wasn't that bad. It's just the management. If they would do their part then this would be a decent place to live but by no means is it the luxury place they make it out to be. I do not plan to renew my lease. I would advise anyone who is interested in staying at the exchange to make sure they check everything out before signing a lease. Ask to see the actual apartment and check EVERYTHING.
