Hilltop cabins

Unbelievable! First of all, I would like to say thank you to the guest that wrote this review. This cabin is our newest and yes, it was not completely finished when this couple checked in. The summer was extremely dry with very little, if any rain the entire month of August, 2007. Our driveway is gravel, so naturally the cabins get a little dust in them, even though they are thouroughly cleaned prior to our guest's arrival. Yes, we are surrounded by woods overlooking Lake Superior in a beautiful location. The road is close to this particular cabin but it is not a main highway. The primary traffic are locals and our guests, who come UP here to enjoy the surrounding area, not sit in the cabin & look for little things to complain about. We are a small "Ma & Pa" resort and do the majority of the work ourselves, including all of the cleaning and maintainence. We were voted "One of the best places to stay in the country" by the readers of "Sno-Goer" magazine in 2004 and we take a lot of pride in that honor. The majority of our guests are repeat customers who have become close friends that we see numerous times during the course of the year. Unfortunately, there are always going to be those few, such as the ones who wrote the above complaint that are not the "outdoors type" that you're not going to please no matter what. For the record, we were never been rude or inconsiderate to these people, nor are we to any of our guests. We have always treated them as we would like to be treated when we go on vacation.
