Chimney Gurus

Chimney Guru made me give them a $770 deposit toward a new gas fireplace and they never showed up to install the fireplace and has been telling me since December 2017 they will refund my $770 deposit. 3 months later they will not take my call and they beat me out of my $770 deposit. Beware of dealing with this company because the are very dishonest. They were recommended by Home Advisor. I will never get a referral from them again.

Very unprofessional, did not do the job they portrayed they would do. Charged nearly $400 to paint sealant on the crown. The crown is missing cement and they felt adding a sealant was sufficient. Refused to fix it or return any of our money.

Terrible. I scheduled someone to come out and give us an estimate for chimney sealing and cap repair/sealing. I scheduled this about a week in advance. The morning of, I was home waiting, and no one showed up. About 20 minutes after the scheduled time, I called to ask where the guy was. The man who answered the phone said he'd find out and call back. Didn't call back for 15 minutes, so I called him back and he said he was still waiting for the service guy to call him back. Okay. So he eventually called me back and said that there was another job they went to first, and can we wait until they're done? I had no choice, so I said okay. The guy on the phone said "even if he doesn't get to you, I'll make sure someone gets out today even if I have to come myself." That was the last I heard from this company. They never showed, never called back. Seriously unprofessional. These guys had me waiting around my house all day. I don't stay home, I have a job and could've worked that day.

jeff came with a crew of three, Jeff and two others. They were on time and answered questions and got the job done rather, quickly probably because of having the three man crew. They identified some repair work that needed to be done and took some pictures of the chimney cap areas showing the cracks and deterioration that was of concern. When I gave the OK they set about the repairs quickly and had all necessary repair products with them. The job was done in short order. I'm satisfied with this company and crew and I would recommend using them if needed.

UNPROFESSIONAL! I called these guys because my 73 yr. old Dad, who heats his house with wood, needed his chimney cleaned as soon as possible. I conveyed the urgency to the man I spoke with and he told me he could come out the next day. Over 24 hours later, at the time he said he would BE there, is when he called to say that the house was too far away from him and he would not be coming out at ALL! It takes less than a minute to map an address on the internet, yet he waited over 24 hours to do so after accepting the job and assuring me he would be there. Like I said, UNPROFESSIONAL!
