Well past experience with Auto repair where's quite costly! Learned to trusted expertise of Mr Hepp knowlege on foreign and domestic vehicles. You definitely have faith in his mechanic services. Brake lines brake pads tune ups oil changes etc. Very modest he will take time to est what true problem is. Fix what needs to be done in professional and reasonable cost. Prices part's and labor . rest assure he treats you as those you part of his family values and high standards. Yes have to agree with the other value comments of present and future customer.when need the Best . your friends and family that uses his service your in Gifted hand's. Your truly blessed and have reliable staff . Highest recommendation . He also does follow up maintaince checks as needed . winterized and rotation tires replace as needed.

I first starting going to Hepp's because I was tired of feeling scammed by so many other mechanics in the area. My grandfather highly recommended Steve Hepp and so I gave him a try. I don't typically give recommendations because I know everyone's experience tends to be different, but I will go to bat for this place. It only takes one visit to know Steve is such an honest, transparent guy. He will break down pricing, labor, parts used, etc. for you if that's what you need to understand your quote. He will give you endless solutions, and will often go way out of his way to make sure you're comfortable with the decision before he makes any changes to your vehicle. He is incredibly thorough and will make sure everything you need is taken care of before you drive away. The crew he has working for him are all gentlemen, very polite, and hard workers. This is the best place to take your car, hands down. (Even if you have to drive an hour, bring a book.) It's worth it.

I am originally from downstate, and this is the first garage that I have used that has impressed me. Mr.S Hepp and the other mechanics are very knowledgeable and run a professional , clean shop. I would highly recommend using this shop.

I had my car in their shop this last week and highly recommend them. They were very friendly and took the time to help me understand what was wrong and what they did to address the problem, coming across as genuinely respectful of my limited budget and honest with their pricing and recommendations.

Took my 99' Chevy Prizm (135k+ miles) to Hepp's for the 1st time to get my brakes done. They were making terrifying sounds and barely functioning, so I feared how much the damage would cost.



I was pleasantly surprised and received such a great deal! The brakes feel and sound fantastic, plus he diagnosed a steering fluid leak and topped it off for me with no extra charge. Didn't try to hook me in with other services (even though my check engine light is on). The service was also very quick. I'll definitely be a repeat customer!

I've been taking my car to Steve Hepp now for years, and now take my girlfriend's car, my step-daughter's car and most recently my youngest daughter's car.



Steve is a soft-spoken gentleman who does what needs to be done and is the exception to the auto-repair rule; he is an honest man! When I bought a "nearly" new car a couple of years ago, I felt bad that I wouldn't have to spend any more money in his shop!



I recommend Steve Hepp's Auto to anyone who will listen, and never once has anyone left his shop feeling that they had been taken advantage of.

I live in Albany, NY. This afternoon, the day before Thanksgiving, driving north on 787, the car started making noises either from the engine or the exhaust. Oh, oh--what to do? Get off at the next exit, Cohoes. Look for Midas, etc. PASS BY Stephen Hepp's Auto Service. What are the chances of getting service from anyone the day before Thanksgiving? Turn around. At least we can ask. Nice young man greeted us. Said he'd take a look. Opened up the hood and asked me to start the engine. Immediately said, "Crack in the front exhaust pipe. You can still drive it--just noisy." We asked if he could repair. "Let me see if I can get the parts." A few minutes later: "I could help you, but it would cost about $___." "How long would it take?" "About an hour." "YES, please do." Told us a nice place to walk to: Peebles Island. The walk along the Hudson was indeed beautiful. Came back in an hour. Car repaired and road tested. Great! Fair price. Great! We thanked him, HE THANKED US. "By the way, what's your name?" "Steve." He was the owner, very well-spoken, a person you immediately felt you could trust--and like. Would make him my mechanic if we didn't have our own and lived closer. Highly recommended.

My company did drop the ball and didn't supply the fuel filler neck as promised. My company will take the appropriate steps to make this right for everyone. Got quoted 250$ to replace a fuell filler neck both the metal pipe and the rubber hose. I called twice during the day to make sure it would be done and he said it would. I picked it up to discover it was now going to be 350$ because the part he quoted me for was suddenly unavailable and he had to get it else where and it was 100$ more. I paid him after disagreeing about the quoted price he apologized and said that's what it was...I got home to discover he didn't even replace the rubber hose!! Rip off stay away!
