Luv Manicures & Pedicures Canton

I just came from Luv Mani and Pedi and that was the worst nail service I have ever received! The wait is very long, they have no equipment so you have to wait to get your nails under a UV light. They did not ask if I wanted my nails short or long and automatically assumed that I wanted short nails, First thing that made me mad. They do not automatically give you the regular pedicure with the legs HA that cost extra. Then to get crackle cost an extra $6.00, and I was there for over four hours, but I was actually sitting in the chair. The nails techs are so slow it is crazy. My daughter go a regular polish on her nails and feet, and I got shellac polish on my hands. I thought I was not going to pay anymore that $90.00 at the most for both of us. Our services without the tip was $128.00 and with the tip $158.00, even though I was not happy with the service I still feel obligated to give a tip because the services were done. But just note I will never spend my money there again. OH, And three ppl had to work on me because I needed nail art, seriously? Three people. I was so annoyed when I left there and I just be happy when I leave a nail shop not MAD! If I could give a negative review I would but this site don't allow that so they will get that 1 star! Seriously do not go there that ad on TV Mani and Pedi $30 is so untrue!

I have been going to the livonia location and was happy to hear a location opened up in canton. The nail tech that I got, im pretty sure either had never done nails before or it had been a long time since she had done nails. She kept jumping around from nail to nail, hand to hand, she seems frustrated and not confident. She did not cut my cuticles, and when i asked her to take a look, she said I didnt specify I wanted them clipped. Isnt that part of the manicure process??? She had my feet soaking in ice cold water and when I asked her to warm it up, she did not. I finally had enough, got up abruptly and said we are done!!! I complained to the manager/owner not sure who he is and he set me up with another tech and set the other lady home. I have been getting my nails done for over 20 years, and this was by far the absolute worst. Will never go back, ever! I left the asian nail salons thinking Luv would be better but in reality the asians do a more thorough and consistent job.

What an AWESOME salon! The idea is genius! American owned! Professional, clean! ALL OF THE ABOVE! If you spring for one of the more expensive services you'll get more bang for your buck! A lot of people complain about the way this place does manicures at the pedicure chair! That is only if you are getting an express! If you don't like it pay a little more and you can go to a table! Those techs are not going to spend all day with your cheap behind!

Just went this past Sunday and the construction was complete. Very nice looking. Got the mani/pedi for $30 which is a good deal. Have gone to the Livonia location in the past and do not like having the manicure done while sitting in the chair soaking your feet for the pedicure. It is very awkward and I wish Luv would stop this practice. You have to hold your hands at an uncomfortable angle and my tech and the one next to us were jostling for space on the same side. This may be why I've never been happy with the polish on my nails, always a bit sloppy and not covering the entire nail. Satisfied with the pedicure as more attention is given and the polish is put on much better.

My younger sister and I just went and tried out this nail salon, and quite frankly had a terrible experience. They had a guy using power tools on the front door the entire time, giving us both terrible headaches. When you go to a salon, you want to relax, not hear screeching noises and terrible drill sounds. I was also cut twice, while she was cutting my cuticles. I left in the middle of my manicure and went down the street to have it finished. The manager did take care of our manicure costs but I paid twelve dollars to have my shellac removed, and also so I could tip. I will not be returning.
