Patrician Management

No one in the office is accountable for what they say. Playgrounds stayed below safety standards for over 2 years while numerous neighborhood children broke their arms. PM's immediate response was to place a sign stating that they were not responsible for any injuries! For the walk though, our house had a chemical cleaning smell. The next day we realized they had covered up cigarette smoke. Their response was that we had already signed the lease so they couldn't do anything! Our carpets where still wet from their cleaning the day we signed the lease, and they had many stains (red & pet stains) as well as cat scratches on the stairs. We said that we would live with the carpets because we have children and knew that more stains were likely to happen. Now that it's time to move out, they expect us to pay over $100 to have the old nasty carpets professionally cleaned and refuse to tell us how many tenants have lived here or when the carpets were installed. My neighbor moved from the older houses to the newer units and had to pay to replace the carpets in the old unit. She checked everyday to make sure they had actually replaced the carpets, but PM took her money and never replaced the old carpets! When we got our annual BAH increase, we were required to pay PM the difference before we ever saw it in our pay...it was Christmas! If you do come rent here, because I know the base atmosphere is better for families, consider paying rent with a check so that they don't have access to your pay. They can't be trusted!

I am an active duty service member spouse. I care about people in the military and their families. This is why I am writing. Please do not take orders to New Orleans. I have been here a little over 2 years and I have not found one person to disagree with me. This place is like a third world country. Patrician Management, the PPV housing company on NAS JRB New Orleans, is horrible. They absolutely do not care about their residents. The older housing is completely run down and falling apart. The new housing was built terribly, hello-lowest bidder! The maintenance crew is awful because it so hard to

find competent workers in this area and they don't pay very well. I could go on and on but the main reason why I am writing is because of the mold that I have found in my house. And I am not the only one. This is the worst place to live if you have allergies. You will be sick everyday, like my husband. There are so many kids here who are sick all the time too, who were never sick before (at any of their other duty stations). I had a professional mold remediator come to my house and sure enough he found mold in the A/C unit. Patrician Management wanted to send their maintenance supervisor over to spray it with a chemical that kills mold. When I explained that the professional said that would be a bad idea because dead mold has spores that still make people sick and that wouldn't take care of the problem-the mold will come back. It needs to removed by a professional, safely. The manager refused to even talk to the professional or call in their own for a free evaluation. Now what is she afraid of?? Exactly. These people are extremely cheap, they don't want to spend any money. Please do not come here. It's one thing to live in a lousy townhouse, it's another to risk your children's health.
