Barkley Auctions

My husband and I have been following Barkley Auctions for years. This family and their workers are amazing and honest people and we have NEVER experienced or been witness to any of the allegations that others have implied on this site. It's disheartening that people can slander others so easily....and disgusting!! Selling at auction is hit or miss, so when you decide to do so, no one is responsible for what your items bring. It's not the auctioneer's fault!!!! If you want top dollar for your items, then sell them online or place some ads in the paper and spend some time and money selling them yourself. It is NEVER the auctioneer's fault that your items sell cheaply and anyone who frequents auctions knows this is a fact. It is not the auctioneer's responsibility to sell boxes of crap that no one really wants. If no one bids on them, then they remain your responsibility. Before you SLANDER good people, get your facts straight. Your negative comments are disgusting and rude. We will continue to recommend and follow this auctioneer and highly recommend them!!

Only gave a star because it wont let me leave it blank. Horrible auctioneer !! Hired to do an auction after my wife died to help pay for funeral expenses since we had no insurance and all they did was take advantage of my situation, sell to friends and employees dirt cheap, only sold what they wanted and left the rest and even added my personal items and property that weren't up for auction and refused to get them back or provide restitution even though Owner Mark Barkley admitted to doing it and instead of him providing return or restitution of the items he opted to seek legal action against me and his lawyer simply stated " turn your losses into your homeowners insurance. THESE PEOPLE ARE LIARS AND NOT TO BE TRUSTED !!!!!

that I would not recommend anyone to use this company. they have their own workers bid next to nothing for your stuff. When they show up for the auction, they bring 3 empty trucks that are filled with your stuff. When they are leaving, they make comments to each other laughing I bought this stove for $1.00 we can sell this for $125.00. they leave your property all in a shambles. None of their receipts they hand you at the end do not match up.
