        Dr. Mark T. Steckler, a native of Yankton, South Dakota, attended South Dakota State University where he graduated with a bachelorâ??s degree in biology and micro-biology. He completed his Doctor of Optometry at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. Spending his first year of practicing optometry in Minnesota, he knew he wanted to get back closer to home. Dr. Steckler opened the doors of Steckler Eye Care Center in 1994 and has been enjoying life serving patients of the Yankton region since. He is an active member of the South Dakota Optometric Society (SDOS). In his free time, Dr. Steckler enjoys the outdoors, especially on the golf course, and spending time with his family.
