Wolcott Hotel & Motor Inn

Giving this "hotel" one star is way more than generous. This place was, beyond a doubt, the worst hotel/motel experience I have ever endured. We booked two nights, but cut our losses and left after only one.



It's dirty, unkempt, and the floors give under your feet. The ceilings are smoke-stained. There are cigarette burns in the carpet and the bathroom counter. The smoke smell permeates everything. The paint was peeling off the walls. The "decor" was atrocious.



The beds are incredibly uncomfortable.



It was July and the AC wasn't on. It took over an hour for our third-floor room to cool off.



The smells and sounds from the bar on the first floor continue until the early hours of the morning.



It says $29/night on the sign...but they charge significantly more...for an incredibly horrible experience.



There is no elevator and the stairs are scary.



When we left there was no one even on the premises to complain to or leave our key with. We had to put our key in a drop box.



I've stayed in places that cost less and were cleaner with nicer staff.



Had my car not been a mini-cooper, I would have slept in the car.



This place was the pits. Be warned. Don't waste your money.
