General Info: The Wisconsin Department of Corrections promotes public safety and assists felons in returning to normal life. It provides crisis intervention, advocacy and family support services to crime victims. The department operates a division of community corrections that offers investigation and supervision services. The Wisconsin Department of Corrections also offers employment assistance services to help inmates become productive members of society. In addition, the department provides health care, treatment, screening and educational services. It supervises adult offenders who are on probation and parole. The department additionally offers individual and group counseling services. The Wisconsin Department of Corrections maintains a location in Winnebago, Wis.
