We rented a 32 foot RV this summer for 10 days when someone from Canada driving another RV hit us in the back while we were parked at a rest stop. The damage was several thousand dollars but Long View took care of it through the supplemental insurance we bought. We even got our security deposit back after some time. This was a very stressful experience but I was happy the LV took care of this!

In the fall, of 2013 we decided to buy our first RV coach and turned to what we thought was a reputable dealer to help us find just the right used coach. We purchased a coach just before our 1st trip to winter over down south. Looking back we should have just backed out of the deal but we were excited and thought since they were willing to give us a 90 day warranty on the entire coach we were in good shape. No "as is buying for us" Well the day we were supposed to pick the coach up it wasn't ready: tip off 1. Then when we went to sign the contract to buy the coach they'd forgotten their promise to warranty the coach for 90 days and had to write in and sign the warranty on the paperwork: tip 2. Finally when we were able to drive the coach home, we had to stop about 30m mins into the trip because the breaks were smelling: tip 3. They told us the breaks were new and it was not unusual for them to smell at first.



Long story short, the coach actually needed a new master cylinder after many phone calls to them on our way south about the breaks. We're pretty lucky to be alive since we had to cross over the mountains on our way south from CT.



I carefully logged everything that was wrong with the coach because we had that 90 day warranty and called them several times to see how they wanted to take care of the 3K break job and all the other smaller things. They never returned my call. I sent them a return receipt letter and they called once leaving an message. When I called them back they never returned my call. In fact the only time I was able to get them to call me back was when I called and pretended I was interested in selling the coach.



Eventually, I found out that much of the work they said they did was never actually done and some of the work they did do was just to make it look like it was fixed only to find it was actually still broken.



We drove the coach back to CT and sold it via another dealer because we didn't know what exactly was wrong with it and didn't want to sell to some unsuspecting person. We literally took a bath on the entire experience.



I reported them to the BBB and they did agree to pay for break job citing some state law that that was all they were required to cover. I decided to take them to small claims court because I had that contract that warranted everything on the coach for 90 days. To my surprise they paid the claim I supposed to keep a judgement from being entered against them.



DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE THEY ARE DISHONEST!
