A girl came to my door and gave me a sob story.

I have to say I was a little suprised when a door to door salesman showed up at my door selling magazine subscriptions. It's not common place. However, I gave him a moment of my time and heard what he had to say. He was a young man from Ohio and said he worked for a company called Urban Nation. He said the company had saved him from a path of self destruction. He explained further that he was selling the magazines to make an honest living and get out of his negative environment. I really didn't need any magazines but, his story capitivated me and I could relate to his story. I myself have had family members and associated that have gone through rough times and needed something good to happen for them. I ended up buying a magazine subscription. It did take months to come but, that was explained to me at the time of the order and clearly written on the receipt. I'm the type of person who really wouldn't have thought one way or another if I never got the magazine. I felt good about doing something to help the yourng man. Even though it was a small investment, I felt the salesman greatly appreciated. I want to comment Urban Nation for what they do. They are giving these young people an opportunity for change and hope for a better future.
