The Luzerne-Wyoming Counties Mental Health/Mental Retardation Program offers services for individuals with mental and emotional disabilities. It provides in-home babysitting services for the parents of children who have emotional disorders. The program includes case management services that include assistance in obtaining basic necessities, such as food, medical, dental and mental health services. The Luzerne-Wyoming Counties Mental Health/Mental Retardation Program provides counseling and psychopharmaceutical intervention services. It features several community residential rehabilitation facilities. The program also provides facility-based vocational rehabilitation and community-based employment options. The Luzerne-Wyoming Counties Mental Health/Mental Retardation Program offers social rehabilitation that includes activities designed to teach and improve self-care personal behavior.
