Tyler Marine Repair

Not sure what to say about this place. Took boat to be repaired he did some test on the motor that I feel it needed. But for some reason he felt the need to take to the lake to test run it which was ok but 2.5 hours of running on the lake? Really I could have tested it in 15 mins. He could not find anything wrong with the boat. When I took it out last Saturday it would not go over 3500 rpm. So the testing in the shop was needed. When he could not find anything wrong there he should have told me that he did not think anything was wrong. But he called and said he wanted to take to the lake to test it on the trailer. I said ok but he ran it for 2.5 hours on the lake and charged me for the 2.5 hours. Just to tell me he thinks it had trash run threw the carburetor. Really really !!! So $500 to get me boat back for a experienced mechanic to say he thinks trash in the carburetor. But did not take the carb apart. It worked itself out. Needless to say I don't think I will take my boat back to him. His wife said when I dropped the boat off that he was waiting on parts for a lot of boats there so he had down time. I think he just wanted to be paid for the down time.
