Our office is known for its commitment to excellence. We use the latest technology including the surgical operating microscope which offers increased magnification and illumination for all procedures. Whether we are evaluating the outside surface of a tooth for a crack, locating miniscule root canals, removing a broken file from a root canal, ensuring the canals are thoroughly cleaned, or filling the root canal systems, the microscope benefits treatment. Even the smallest detail is brought clearly into view. We also replaced conventional dental x-rays with digital radiography. This advancement significantly reduces radiation exposure to our patients and eliminates the hazardous byproducts of film developing.

I just completed my first root canal with Dr. Bell and I am very impressed and happy with the job he did along with the incredibly friendly staff. I had been told, for over a year by other doctors, that I would have to get my front tooth taken out and it could not be saved. From the first meeting with Dr. Bell, he assured me that he would be able to most likely do a root canal with little to no problems. He gave me a best and worst case scenario with my veneer and infection in the tooth. The day I received the root canal could not have gone more smooth. I am smiling from ear to ear that he was able to save the tooth with absolutely no problems! The procedure was quick and easy and he was very informative the entire time. Crowns
Yes. This is a very frequently asked question. For the procedure, you will be given local anesthetic, similar to what you would experience with any other type of dental procedure, such as a crown or filling. We do have nitrous oxide available for your comfort, for an additional fee. If this is an option you are interested in, please feel free to let us know when you make your appointment.

Root Canal Treatment
Your visit in our office will begin with a comprehensive consultation and examination. At that time, we will examine the area, take diagnostic films, decide whether your tooth is in need of root canal therapy, and review your treatment options.
Apicoectomy
Generally, conventional root canal therapy is all that is needed. Success rates for a non-surgical treatment is above 90%. Occasionally, microsurgery may be needed to save a tooth. This technique can be useful in locating root fractures and treating canals that may not be able to be accessed through standard root canal therapy.The most common microsurgical procedure is called an apicoectomy.

Dental Implants
Thanks to the skill and professionalism of Dr. Kasper and his well trained staff, I was able to keep my tooth as opposed to extracting it and placing an implant. He made a procedure that was difficult for him a very easy one for me. Thank you.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Oral Surgery
An almost lifelong resident of Illinois, Dr. Bell grew up in Rock Falls. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, he spent four years in Chicago attending the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. After graduation, he completed a general practice residency at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT, which included extensive training in dental and facial trauma, emergency management, medicine, and oral surgery. After this, he returned to the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he obtained his Master of Science in Oral Sciences and Certificate in Endodontics. He enjoys live music and following the Cubs - a difficult task in an office full of Sox fans!
Jaw Surgery
I recently saw Dr Kasper for an molar root canal. With childhood memories still unexpectedly fresh in my mind, I was expecting some mild to heavy pain. what I found was a very professional environment and a pain free experience. With this being needed prior to jaw surgery, I was pleasantly surpassed that there was no swelling or pain in the least. Thanks Dr Kasper

Dr. Kasper is really an amazing dentist. I had a root canal done on my front tooth. I am extremely happy with the outcome. My tooth looks and feels great. It looks and feels like nothing ever happened to it. I needed a root canal and some bleaching done, because my tooth died. I am pleased with how it turned out, because you cannot tell anything was done to my tooth. In addition, I have to say doctor Kasper is truly an amazing professional with the knowledge, experience, and state of the art equipment. The office staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They will make the patient feel at ease. Modern Endodontics is truly a great professional office where they also respect the patient during the visit. The staff is always on time with a patient’s appointment. Not like other offices where you have to wait a long time to get in the room and still wait for the dentist. I would definitely recommend Dr. Kasper to anyone who needs a root canal, because I know they will be just as happy as I am. Thank you.
