There's something I appreciate: Responsability and professionalism. This company gives you exactly what you ask for. After I booked, Danielle, the woman who assisted me explained to me the whole process and I asked a few questions since it was my first time doing this moving thing. They came at the agreed time, with blankets, bubble wrap, everything. They ensured my belongings were packaged correctly and delivered every item carefully to its destination. Three reasons to AVOID HomeSafe Transit

1. HomeSafe purposefully underquotes you to secure your contract: I ended up paying 36% more than I was originally quoted - even though I didn’t end up bringing some of my biggest furniture items on the truck (two dressers, nightstands, and bookshelves). They have an incentive to underestimate how much space you will take up on a truck, so that they can outbid other moving companies and secure your initial deposit. This means that you will end up paying much more than the quote that HomeSafe gives you. Be prepared for an increase in thousands of dollars.

2. HomeSafe works with sketchy and unprofessional carriers: We were not given information about our carrier until the day they showed up. The carrier we were assigned has notoriously negative online reviews, which they lived up to in our experience. The carrier added on hundreds of dollars of unexpected fees, and the movers tried to make a deal with us that they would waive the fees if we tipped them directly. They also broke multiple pieces of our furniture.

3. HomeSafe’s customer support is unreliable and rude: After our totally unprofessional and disappointing moving experience, I tried multiple times over the course of weeks to reconcile the situation with HomeSafe’s customer support team. The staff was dismissive, rude, and eventually stopped answering our calls.

HomeSafe Transit is a fraudulent company that needs to be investigated by the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

Homesafe was annoying at first, I got an email, call and text. I am glad they were as persistent as they were. I ended up booking with my guy Mike and am forced to admit it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Homesafe Transit is awesome! The movers came to my house got all the beds, pictures, TVs I mean everything down packed wrapped and loaded pretty quick. I gave the guys waters and a few cutie oranges plus I tipped them $20 each. I had 3 movers and their manager. When I got home to Florida from Connecticut I was surprised to see that NOT ONE ITEM WAS DAMAGED! :)
