Valenti Volvo Cars of Watertown

I went to Valenti Volvo last week to look at and ask questions about a 2018 Certified Pre-owned Volvo S90. I spoke with Amy who was very helpful. She took me for a test drive and answered all my questions. I told her that I would discuss with my wife and bring her in. A couple of days later (yesterday) I brought my wife in with all intentions of buying the car, deposit check in-hand. I called early that morning to make sure that Amy was in, and that she’d be available at 3:00 pm. She assured me that she would. My wife and I arrived at 3:00 on the dot. Amy was speaking with another customer. Understandable, ... not a problem. Except after 45 minutes, still no Amy. They did hand us off to another salesperson who indicated that this customer had been with Amy for four hours. My wife and I did not appreciate being “handed off” to another salesperson. After a few hours, Amy should have mentioned to her clearly indecisive customer that she had a 3:00 appointment and could have suggested that she’d need to step aside st that point and that they come back or work with their manager or other salesman. What is the point of making an appointment? After 45 minutes, my wife and I left Valenti. They lost a done-deal sale. I will be heading to Volvo of Danbury. I should have suspected something was wrong when I called in the am for my non-appointment. I had to call three times for Amy to pick up. Phone kept ringing each time with no receptionist or operator to take my call if Amy wasn’t available. I mentioned this to my “hand-off” salesman and I said that I understood that they are in transition ... moving from an obscure, hidden location to a new facility. He said though that they have been in this location for 2 years. No excuse then for lack of support infrastrucure and organization So much for benefit of the doubt. I was very disappointed with my experience at Valenti. I suggest you check out Volvo of Danbury.
