Full Throttle Screen Printing, LLC, actually got its start in 2009 as "Kiss My Glass Printing." My wife, Tracey, was deployed in Afghanistan and I needed a hobby to help pass the time until she returned. I was working in the "team uniform" business during the day, and spending most of my nights sampling the new beers at local brewpubs that were popping up around the city. I became good friends with several of the owners and head brewers, and often tried to persuade them to buy t-shirts through my day job. I never had much luck. However, several owners asked if I knew anyone who could print on pint glasses. A light bulb turned on in my head, and after considerable research I convinced my in-laws to join in my business venture and we invested in some equipment. Although we were somewhat successful, it just wasn't what I was looking for. Once we made enough to pay off our equipment debt, I started looking at other options. My day job outsourced all of its screen printing in the team department: uniforms, t-shirts, and fan-ware. I learned how to screen print on a pint glass; silk-screening t-shirts had to be easier! After much consideration, we drove to North Dakota, bought a used press, and drove back home. I was printing simple 1-color shirts within days. I informed my co-workers of my new equipment and they started to feed me some of the easier jobs. We were up and running! After we recovered our initial investment, we bought a heavy duty manual pres and a conveyor dryer. Production doubled! We realized our business name no longer fit our operation, so we retired "Kiss My Glass Printing" and reopened as Full Throttle Screen Printing, LLC. Since then, business has been great. We now have an amazing automatic press, a new manual press, a large dryer, vinyl cutters andheat presses--all the good stuff! In April of 2014 we moved into our own building; everything under one roof! No more running from the house, to the garage, to the in-laws! We appreciate all of the support our friends and families havegiven us. Without them, we would not be where we are today. We look forward to servicing Waterloo and the surrounding communities. We will strive to be your go-to print shop for all orders, large and small! We are a small family owned business who specializes in custom screen printed apparel. Have an event coming up?
