Watauga Department of Public Works is the main administrative office that provides supervision and direction to the Engineering, Planning, Street, Traffic, Building Inspection, and Water & Sewer Maintenance Departments in the city of Watauga, Texas. Public Works represents the city in dealing with governmental agencies, private consultants and the general public. Its offices are located inside the water tower at 7800 Virgil Anthony Blvd., in Watauga. Inside the shaft of the tower are four floors of office space. Each floor has 1,805 feet of usable space, with the first and third floors being offices. The second floor has a kitchen, showers and a training area. The fourth floor is meeting and more training space. The city of Watauga has a population of 21,908 and is located in approximately 10 miles from Ft. Worth, Texas, and 12 miles from Arlington, Texas.
