Inflammatory diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis. While this progressive “wear and tear” of your elbow may be associated with pain, it also commonly leads to significant stiffness about the elbow. The elbow’s normal range of motion becomes limited, thus making it difficult for you to use your arm to carry out normal daily activities.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is the result of increased pressure on one of the nerves in the wrist and hand. In patients with carpal tunnel syndrome, this nerve is compressed as it passes through the wrist. This compression causes the nerve to not function properly.

Each AOR office is equipped with x-ray, most offices have digital technology, where we are able to take all of the x-rays you will need during your visit. We are also able to view your X-Rays from outside hospitals on-line in most cases. If another radiology test is ordered (MRI, CT, Bone Scan) our office staff works with your insurance company to obtain authorization if needed and schedule the testing as soon as possible. Most of these can be done within one week’s time and in many cases within 24-48 hours.

The hip joint is one the largest joints in our body, and it works to move our thigh forward and backward. Injections primarily consisted of corticosteroids which simply masked their discomfort while adding to the deterioration of their cartilage, thus making their arthritis worse. Viscosupplementation was a simple lubricant that rarely was effective enough on its own. While total knee replacement remains a very effective way of treating patients with severe bone on bone knee arthritis, nine out of 10 patients that present to me do not yet require surgery. Thus, we were simply chasing symptoms until that patient’s knee cartilage was so worn out that they needed a knee replacement.
