District Dogs

Founded in 2013, District Dogs is a leading dog walking company in Washington, DC.
We specialize in mid-day walks but also are very flexible to meet your needs. District Dogs currently service the Columbia Heights, Logan Circle, Shaw, Park View, U ST/Cardoza and the surrounding areas. We also have plans to operate a dog daycare and boarding facility in the future.
District Dogs is 100% licensed, bonded and insured.

Jacob
is the owner and founder of District Dogs. He left his professional career in finance to realize his dream of running a dog care business. In addition to his immense passion for animals of all types, Jacob brings a wealth of experience to District Dogs, most notably a history of walking, sitting, breeding, and training puppies and dogs alike. Whatever the needs of you and your canine friend, Jacob will undoubtedly exceed your expectations.
Norman
is our regular walker currently covering the southern end of Columbia Heights. He has recently moved back to Washington, DC after being away for several years. Norman is an experienced sailor and enjoys the outdoors. Norman has an in-depth knowledge of working with dogs and is very excited to get to know your furry family members!
Gabriel
is our backup walker that covers most of our territory on an as needed basis. He is an experienced dog walker and has two dogs of his own. Gabe is also enjoys creating artwork on his sparetime and playing in muscial gigs around town.
Robert
is our walker currently covering the northern end of Columbia Heights. He is studying business at the University of Maryland and is working part-time for District Dogs. Before school, Robert served as an Airborne Ranger for the 82nd Airborne Division and completed four tours overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan. Robert has two Doberman Pinschers and a great deal of experience providing specialized care to meet the needs of all dogs. We are very proud to have him on-board.
Tatiana
is currently covering Parkview and sections of Columbia Heights and Petworth. She is a native Puerto Rican who moved to DC for college and worked for almost two years as a paralegal before deciding to pursue her masters in public policy at Georgetown this coming fall. Tatiana is a passionate animal lover who has had dogs most of her life. She brings ample experience working with dogs and can't wait to meet you and your pups!
Matt
is one of our backup walkers that covers the Columbia Heights and Logan/Shaw areas. He is from the metro DC area and is very familiar the neighborhoods he covers. He has two Labrador/Retriever mix dogs and is very excited to meet yours!

District Dogs offers two lengths of dog walks.
A 25 minute dog walk for dogs that need a little more exercise and a quick 15 minute walk for dogs that just need a potty break.
We offer a discount to clients that have regular walks each business day.
You will see the prices below for clients with a 5-day commitment and clients that need less than 5 walks a week.
Our standard midday walks are anywhere between 10:30 AM - 3:30 PM.
The visit time includes a walk, checking food and water, administering medications as needed and any other specific things your pet may need.

Dog Sitting
If you are going on a long vacation or just a quick weekend trip, District Dogs is here to help. While we offer a variety of different pet sitting services based on your specific needs, our primary pet sitting plan includes visiting your house and providing your dog with the following: Two 25-minute visits and two 15 minute visits; Providing fresh water, food, and treats as specified; Going for walks (or providing indoor playtime as a rainy-day substitute); Any other specific requirements your dog may have.

Cat Sitting
District Dogs is happy to cater to your cat sitting needs as well. Please contact us today to confirm availability and let us know a little about your pet. Whether it is for a weekend getaway or weekday business travel, we are happy to accommodate you. A short consultation is required. Our cat visits include: 15 to 20 minute in-home visit; Well-being check to make sure your pet is safe and happy; Providing fresh water, food, and treats as specified; Litterbox cleaning; Playtime, if requested.

District Dogs would like to introduce Paw Cardio!
Some of our clients have asked about jogging and running services and we feel this will be a good way to help some of our high energy dogs release that build up energy.
We will be offering dog jogging in 20 minute and 30 minute lengths.
They will include a brief warm up and cool down period and a nice steady jog through the neighborhood. The amount of cardio we do is limited, so if you are interested please give us a few days notice if possbile.
Most jogs are during non peak dog walking time and usually occur in the morning or later afternoon/evening.

Weekly Commitment Pricing
For clients who schedule one walk each business day of the week, Monday through Friday, get a discount on services.
