I wanted to check them out and maybe get my hair done there in the future since I live walking distance from the salon so I made an appointment for my toddler to get a feel for the place. I showed up on time the day of. I waited 30 minutes with my toddler. There was another customer that was snuck in before me. I was left with the feeling that since my child's haircut is cheaper I was disregarded. First impressions count and this was a very bad first impression. Not only that but it was the receptionist that apologized and not the hairstylist. I would have preferred an apology from the hairstylist and then maybe I wouldn't have canceled the appointment I made for the following week due to the inconvenience of that day.
Glorious in Wallingford is the real Nail Spa, they give you the best customer service with a personal touch, they relate with their customers and make them feel comfortable. This salon is very clean and the ambiance very welcoming with spa music and some refreshment while you been served. Go experience yourself.
BAD BUSINESS! Overtime they have increasingly cheapened the quality of their services & hiked up the prices & changed the so-called "specials"as to make more money for themselves! Nails filed crooked, the polish done sloppy bc they are rushing to do your nails, to get more customers in the door instead of worrying about quality of their work & service & making the customer feel valued! This is the last time I'm going here! & DONT SUPPORT crooked businesses that don't treat hard-working mothers & families with respect and honor THEIR MISTAKES WHEN THEY DO SO. Today because of a language communication error, I was charged double the amount that I was expecting for a pedicure for my daughter & I. The staff laughed & humiliated me infront my kids and the other customers saying that it was my fault. It's one thing to make a mistake, but charging me DOUBLE of what I was expecting to pay for a DISCOUNT "SPECIAL," that's bad business to charge me an amount that I did not agree to.
I am a new to Naugatuck. I wanted to find a local place to get my nails done.. NEVER GO TO THIS SALON. I have had my nails done by the nail salon in the Waterbury Walmart. From start to finish...one hour. It took two hours at this place. It took the man working on me an hour just to file off my polish with the electric file. Also he hit the skin around my nails many times. After one hand was done I had to move to another chair because the file at another station was "better". The product they used on my nails was applied poorly. The residue had to be "picked" off from the sides and the under part of my finger. I had to move again to another station to have my nails painted. That was also done poorly. I have polish still on my fingers. like another person posted, there were only two people working there. I went there at two in the afternoon. I didn't leave until four. There was no chart that I COULD SEE, that listed how much things cost.. It cost more than Waterbury
I have been going to Captiva for the last 6 months & love it!!! The place is beautiful & atmosphere inviting. The customer service is unbeatable!
Do not go here... They charged me nearly 40$ for a fill and it was the worst one I have ever gotten and Ive had my nails done for years and this was by far my worst experience. She left one nail all smudged and a couple others uneven. I am not picky by any means but I was very upset by this. Save your money and go somewhere else, plus they weren't even friendly.
