In my 35 years as a cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgeon, I frequently treat patients who have serious and potentially life-changing medical and surgical situations. Each patient is unique, therefore having unique concerns regarding their individual medical situation. I always take the time necessary to evaluate each patient thoroughly and make sure that all questions and concerns are addressed. I firmly believe that when a patient is thoroughly educated on their medical condition, treatment options and what results to expect, I then have an active partner in the treatment and recovery process.
