am quite pleased.

I've had a fair amount of experience with plumbers in my time, but since I'm relatively new to Los Angeles, so I still checked around for companies with good reputations before having someone in our home.

The Plumbco Plumber who came out to give me an estimate was very friendly and professional. Another thing that I noticed when researching on the internet is they have a very good reputation. That definitely helped bolster my confidence, especially since my remodel is not a slip-shot, easy affair.

I'm converting a single family old house to 2 units, so I really need a company who can pull off my project without any snags.

So far, I am quite pleased.

An unusual review

Let me start by saying that this may be an unusual review - the reason being that I am commending this business for not doing business with me!!

First of all, I needed my garbage disposal fixed. Arie was coming back from a huge job downtown and therefore, he was able to stop by my house just 30 minutes after I called for an appointment.

Arie investigated the issue and told me that I really didn't have much of a problem at all. He showed me how to solve it on my own and told me how to avoid it in the future. In passing, I also mentioned my electrical and painting problems going on in the house. Arie then went out of his way to recommend different contractors and stores for me to visit.

I insisted that I pay him for the visit. But since it was a problem that I could have solved on my own, Arie just had me pay a $40 trip charge.

I don't know if this is obvious in my explanation, but this is extraordinary business practice. I am fairly sure that in some point in my life, I may have been taken advantage of by different professionals, whether it be plumbing, car repair, etc, simply because I would not have much knowledge about that field.

Perhaps, I have become a bit jaded, but this kind of integrity is dumbfounding to me. Before visiting me, Arie had just come from a job for that posh department store we all know... which sounds like it paid tens of thousands of dollars. For him to be so kind and down-to-earth, to care about a senior citizen saving several hundreds dollars is really heartwarming. I am quite impressed with this company's policies and character. I have been bragging about them to my friends ever since!

Next year, I do plan to renovate my master bathroom and I know that I am definitely calling Plumbco. They have my business from now on and if I have any say about it - all of my friends' business
as well!!!

Thank you so much, Arie!! I'll call you soon!!

PlumbCo is simply phenomenal!

Arie of PlumbCo is simply phenomenal!
My restaurant's water heater went out around 9 o'clock, last Tuesday evening.
I emailed Plumbco in hopes they could get to me first thing in the morning.
To my surprise, they called me first, beating me to calling them.
By 12 o'clock that day, a commercial water heater was in place, replacing my busted one.

This water heater was placed on top of a walk-in cooler and I'm positive no other plumber
would have touched this job because I went through the exact same thing last time it was
replaced. I called around, got several companies to come out and give me a quote, and the
end result was that I was getting everything from completely relocating the water heater,
to trying to bust open through the other side of my wall, which is an impossibility since
I don't own that unit.

This time, Arie got the job done for me and that's all I cared about.
He was courteous, knowledgeable, and the consummate professional.
He carefully explained his proposed solution to me and clearly described all my options of
the way this can work.

Personally, I think he went above and beyond the call of duty when he spotted other
plumbing problem areas around the restaurant and proposed solutions for me to get it
fixed myself. Arie knew of my budgetary restraints, and I think it was really nice
of him to point me in the right direction.
As he said, he doesn't want to see a small problem now, turn into a big one.
He referred me to a couple of supply houses where I can purchase the materials myself,
and I was able to get my husband to fix those problems, because his labor was free after all.

Arie is not only excellent and skilled at what he does, but he seems to really enjoy
what he does as well. He left my restaurant perfectly clean at the end of the job,
so no mess for me to deal with afterwards.
Such a boon -- thanks a million!!!

Under an hour on a Sunday and cleared main sewer line!

Live in Van Nuys and suddenly on a Sunday nothing in my house woudl drain or flush. Serious crisis with a house load of people. Called Arie over at Plumbco and he was at my place in less than an hour. Such a relieve cause I was stressed that nobody would come on a weekend.

Arie had this massive router on his truck. He got it positioned and cleaned out our main sewer line. It fixed the problem and he was so nice.

Definitely going back to Arie for any more plumbing emergencies.

Excellent Plumber.

Arie's service was excellent! He came to our house and installed a new water heater. He was prompt, and polite, and did extra work without the extra charge. We highly recommend him to others and will use him again.

Excellent Service

Arie from Plumbco was AWESOME!!! I was having trouble with my kitchen sink. Ith had been draining VERY slowly despite my attempted Draino efforts. I was also in dire need of a new hot water heater. I gave Plumbco a call and spoke to Arie. He gave me the name of a store to go buy a new hot water heater. Not only were the selection of hot water heaters a higher quality, but they were cheaper than ones you would fid at Home Depot or Lowes.

Arie then arrived at my house on time and replaced the new hot water heater with the existing one. He then addressed the kitchen sink and got that cleared up. He gave me such a great deal on both jobs I could not believe it! Great service for a great price!

Affordable, Fast and Awesome Service

When I moved into my house a year ago the water heater started leaking all over the place the second we turned it on. I price checked a bunch of plumbers and Arie at Plumbco was the cheapest and sounded the most helpful on the phone. He came out THAT DAY and ripped out the old water heater and told me the best place to go for a new one ($150 cheaper than Home Depot)!! Then he came back and installed it for me - all at an awesome price. He was so great that I had him come back and install my dishwasher the following week and was just as impressed with him then.

Bad Service, Even Worse Personality

Plumbco located in Van Nuys, California, evolved from good to mediocre to really bad.
During his first visit, Mr. Glassman installed a gas line connecting to my washer/dryer. He did a good job. .
Months later, I called him after my toilet overflowed & water backed up, in my bathtub. He ran a plumber's snake & extracted wipeys which were dropped in the toilet located in the front house. He also installed a ""cheap"" faucet which I will not comment on in this post. Mr. Glassman remained at the property for less than 30 minutes.
On 12/25/08, the toilet overflowed and water again, backed up into the tub. I called Mr. Glassman who again ran the snake & dredged up a ""small"" pile of what he said were wipeys. Mr. Glassman charged $150 and finished in less than 20 minutes.
The following morning while bathing, brown water poured through the drain. I quickly got out of the shower but saw water rising in the toilet. The water poured over the rim and spread across the bathroom floor and into the hall. I called Arie and told him the problem had reoccurred. Rudely, he exclaimed, ""I don't work for free!""
I paid Mr. Glassman during each visit to my home making his statement both inappropriate and rather stupid. He said he would see if he could come out again & offered to call me in a short while. While waiting, I contacted the landlord because whatever I paid to Mr. Glassman was deducted from the rent. The landlord told me he thought Mr. Glassman's charges were too high and said that if Mr. Glassman agreed to come to the house again, that he first contact the landlord. Mr. Glassman called back a short time later and said he would come by in the next 3 hours, I asked him to contact the landlord. Sometime later, Mr. Glassman arrived but due to a previous appointment, I left while he worked. When I returned later that day, my roommate said Mr. Glassman again charged another $150. I called the landlord to inform him that the work had been completed & about the cost. He told me that Mr. Glassman had been ""rude"" when they spoke earlier that day. If Mr. Glassman had done the job correctly there would be no reason to have called him 2 days in a row or pay him $300 to unclog a single pipe. But what made matters worse are his insolent, disrespectful attitude. I afterwards, posted a complaint on www.ripoffreport.
A few weeks later, the toilet again overflowed and water filled the bathtub. I called the landlord who called another plumber. That plumber, a young man, ran a snake and remained at the property for more than 1 hour. When he finished, he dredged out a pile of roots. For some reason, Mr. Glassman had been unable to dredge up roots. Maybe its because he was in a hurry to do the work, collect a check and leave!
On 6/11/09, at about 10:39 p.m., my cellular rang. It was Mr. Glassman. He ranted and raved about the post critiquing his work, alleging it was inaccurate, full of inconsistencies, and alluding to what I wrote as ""cr-p."" He accused me of placing him ""in a prison"" and said there are more than 55 posts online praising his work. I told him I only documented what I experienced. I finally ended the call after I reminded him of the time.
On Saturday, 6/13/09, Mr. Glassman left a long voice mail & asked that I call him. I called him back and told him that my post was correct and true but he started to argue. I stopped him, stating he was becoming an annoyance. He started to yell, ""I'm going to kick your a--. I'm going to your house and I'm going to hurt you. I'm going to teach you a lesson."" He went on and on and on while my roommate listened on the loudspeaker. I hung up but he called back immediately and left another long, drawn out voice mail in he slandered my character. I have now filed a report with the LAPD, filed a complaint with Service Magic, & have written to the state Licensing Board of California.
