Kim's Creative Designs Bead Shop

I started beading for fun and therapy about 2 1/2 years ago. Kim was AMAZING!! She taught me everything, from the basics to very complicated skills. She was even a huge help with my youngest daughter who would come to the shop with me in her car seat, and her eventual first word was BEAD! My daughter is now almost 3 and sits behind the counter and draws with Kim while I shop for beads.

Over the past 2 1/2 years I have been to virtually every bead store between Cincy/Columbus/Dayton and Kim by far has the best prices around and a fantastic selection. She has always been willing to look for and order specific things for me. I am soooooooo blessed to call her my friend and would be lost without her store. I started my own business about 1 1/2 years ago making jewelry and Kims is my first stop for anything I need.

She has been a great owner/friend/mentor in this beading adventure. I tell everyone about her store and always keep copies of her business cards in my purse, so that when I run into people at Crafts 2000 or Hobby Lobby I send them her way.

My addiction began in 2008 after walking down a darling ramp into a beautiful vintage sea of beads. I now am considering the start up of the first (that I know of) Beaders Anonymous. (Actually I won't be doing that because I have no intention of breaking this habit until I go for broke).

Kim greeted me with a warm smile and was a no pressure saleswoman knowing there would be no need to beg me to buy anything. She is the one that took the time to show me the proper way to open and close my first jumpring. She also helped me braid a fastner onto a glass donut and that first completed project is now worn by my daughter, Briana. I've been in a lot of shops since then, along w/my first Intergalactic Bead Show this past weekend!, but Kim's still has my beading heart. I live in Beavercreek, Ohio and don't get to Urbana much but when I do it's usually planned around the times that shop is open and I can, once again, visit my first beading buddy. Thanks Kim for a wonderful gift of love and supplies for my habit.

I have made several visits to Kim's. She carries quite a collection of beads and findings. Has excellent samples and is very helpful. A great source for a beader who likes quality beads at a reasonable price.
