The establishment of the original Oliver H. Bair Funeral Home was the culmination of an idea germinated in the mind of the founder of our business in the early days of his career.Mr. Oliver H. Bair started in business in the year 1878, at 41 North Eighteenth Street, giving to the public such superior service as was then offered by the most modern and up-to-date establishments of the kind. He was immediately impressed with the great need existing for a service of a special and much more personal character, and of the great possibilities which existed for one who had the enterprise to carry it through. During the intervening years he never lost sight of the perfected idea which is now embodied in our present funeral establishmentAfter many, many years at 1820 Chestnut St. the company moved to 1920 Samson St. and then to the suburbs in Delaware County. We are presently located at 8500 West Chester Pike in Upper Darby, PA where we are able to conveniently serve all of our clients in Philadelphia as well as all of the surrounding Delaware Valley communities. We specialize in all aspects of the funeral business from cremation services to full traditional burials.
