Let me tell you how my $45.00 was wasted this Valentine’s Day. To start off, I am a regular customer, often coming in every 3 weeks, so you can say I have seen it all. I always get SNS with tips on my nails. The last couple of times I have not been fully satisfied as I usually am. Specifically today, I went in on Valentine’s Day to get the usual SNS with tips, but came out extremely unsatisfied. As I was getting my tips put on, the majority of the tips were all places crooked on top of my nails, barely covering half of one side. When speaking up about my concern, it was disregarded. Going along with the rest of the application, the dipping powder was placed unevenly and in splotches throughout each nail. When tried to fix, the powder disappeared off of certain parts of my nail, leaving it bare and other parts opaque. Personally I have seen this specific nail technician for months upon months around the salon, so I know she is not a new employee. However her performance mimicked that of a brand new employee with limited knowledge. After me asking her to try to fix them, she attempted to correct her mistakes, simply creating more of a mess than when we began. My nails look worse than when I try to do them at my own home. They are still hurting and sore after 3 hours from application, which is very unusual from past experiences. Also not to mention, but my sister and I had appointments at 1 pm today, arriving 15 minutes before. We walk in and had to wait another 25 minutes to get assistance. When others, without appointments had been sitting getting their nails done. I am extremely disappointed with today’s experience and honestly embarassed of the appearance of my nails, wanting to rip them off myself.
I scheduled an appointment at Organic Nail Bar. When we arrived, I checked in making sure they knew that we were there. 20 minutes passed our scheduled time, we still hadn't been taken back for our pedicures. I went over to speak with one of the nail technicians, in which she informed me that she had made a mistake and had given our appointment to a different group that didn't actually have a scheduled appointment. I understand that mistakes happen, but they didn't make any attempt to fix their mistake until I insisted upon it. Even then they were reluctant to do so. A nail technician walked us back to their pedicure chairs and she said that two of us could sit and get started, but the other three would need to wait. This was 50 minutes after our scheduled appointment. I told them that we had waited long enough and that we shouldn't have to wait any longer for their error. They agreed, and a male, whom I believe was a manager, told us that he was sorry for the mistake that had been made and that he would give us a 10 % discount for their error. Even though 10 % is not a lot, I thought that it was nice of them to admit their mistake and offer at least some sort of discount. After we had all finished which was 1.5 hours after our scheduled time, we paid for our service. My bill was $45.00, and they charged me $42.00, which obviously isn't even 10 % off. For one of the other women in our party, they didn't even give her the 10 % off and she felt like we had already been there for so long that it wasn't worth the fight. As we were walking out of the establishment, one of the women I was with noticed a pamphlet that they had advertising their "group discount" of 5 or more people. The "group discount" was 10 %. For making a mistake, making us wait 50 minutes past our scheduled time, they offered us the "group discount" which should have been ours to begin with because we had 5 people in our group. Highly disappointed!
This is now called Paris Nail Spa in the Uniontown Mall. They did such a TERRIBLE job I had to leave there and go to another salon to have my nails and toes fixed even after they knew I was upset and the manager had to redo my pedi. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT waste your time or money!!
