I have grown up with Albert G's BBQ and my family has never had any issues with their service or their food (even for a to-go order). Their prices are average and the quality is excellent. They have good portions. On the dinner combos a half order will fill you up and a full order will give you a couple of meals. Plus the dinner combos come with 2 sides, so it's not that expensive. I mean I've payed more at a fast food restaurant for less food and poorer quality. Albert G's Bar-B-Q keep up the good work, because I certainly haven't found a better Bar-B-Q restaurant.
The BBQ was very good and atmosphere was okay, but I still found the price to be outragous for our family of six. We paid close to $100 for an out order of prepared food. By the time you get your sides and drinks it was just too expensive. The BBQ was very tender and good. The teenagers that work their were very busy with their own lives to really care about our out order, we had BBQ sauce EVERYWHERE by the time we got it home, which was very tasty if you wanted it all over.
This is the best place in Tulsa for BBQ. I have been there a number of times and have never been disappointed. They offer a wide variety of meats, lots of side dishes and 3 different BBQ sauces. Everything I have tried has been delicious. The prices are reasonable and the service is good. Their potato skins with the rib ends on them are loaded and can be eaten as a meal. This is now the place we go when we are in the mood for BBQ.
I've been trying to find a good BBQ place, all around Tulsa. I came here on a recommendation, from a couple friends. Had a chopped brisket sandwich, meat was very tender & juicy. Had good flavor, almost ate it, w/o sauce. Sweet & mild sauce, well balanced. Hot had a nice (after) burn to it. Your watch your meal being prepared, as you order it. Overall, omg, I am definitely coming back
I can't believe your review! Wow! I think Baxter's is one of the best restaurants downtown! I've been going there since the mid-70's and when I find myself downtown for business, I usually schedule my appointment around lunch time just so I can go there. They have really great food, and the service is usually pretty good. Maybe next time you go there you'll be in a better mood....
Always good bbq, friendly atmosphere, but when Elmer died, the wait staff copped an attitude. They all acted like they were not happy to see you, and it was a pain in their rear to serve you. Also it has became more pricey with smaller portions. The lunch special is a joke. I rarely eat there anymore. There are lots of other BBQ joints to choose from.
I just ate Wilson's last night and the barbecue tastes great!!! The sign outside stated that it is under new management and the wait staff was very friendly....I must admit that I didn't eat Wilson's bbq until now but I would have to say that it is some of the best bbq in Tulsa...
Arguably the best BBQ in Tulsa. The wait staff is neither particularly fast nor particularly friendly but that's pretty common for BBQ places in Tulsa. Go for the Q! We sampled all the meats. Really really good. But the potato salad and Cole slaw is also the best in town.
Great BBQ, great value. The staff is friendly, but it isn't really a wait staff kind of place. You get your own drinks and dump your own trash, but you save on tip money. :) Great price on kid's meals. Not into BBQ but taking one for the team? Get a loaded baked potato.
i ate here during my stay in july 2015. i thought oklahoma style had it going on, but i went right on to rib crib on harvard after okla.style closed door in my face. The rib crib was so nice. i love the rib crib. they were so generous w the food i ordered and the sauce..
