Julia Kreis, R.N. B.S.N. was a practicing nurse for over 35 years. She worked in rehabilitation, cardiac, oncology, and head trauma. Julia is a PMA certified Pilates teacher in apparatus and mat, with her training based on the traditional philosophy of Joseph Pilates. She is also an AFAA certified personal trainer, as well as being certified in nutrition counseling, senior fitness, resist-a-ball, and pre-natal exercise. Julia is completing her degree in nutrition with the American Academy of Nutrition. In 2009 she completed courses in Gaith and Rotational Sports, by Polestar Education; and Sole to Spine, by Madeline Black. Read about Julia's remarkable weight loss story. Pamela Lambarth Deters was born in London, England. She retired in the mid 1990's after a successful 25 year career in the financial and insurance industries. ( She holds professional designations in both disciplines. ) Pamela has 9 years of experience teaching Pilates, based on the traditional philosophy of Joseph Pilates. Qualified as a Pilates Instructor in apparatus and mat, she also holds the Pilates Method Alliance ( PMA ) teaching certification. A keen equestrian, she found that the practice of Pilates has improved her riding skills and enhanced communication with her horses; leading to a more successful and enjoyable ride. Her knowledge and style will benefit all interested in flexibility and better health, and she is eager to help other horse riders experience the benefits of Pilates. Patty Guilmartin is a PMA certified Pilates Teacher. She has an array of teaching and training techniques and works exceptionally well with women who have difficult physical challenges. Patty has travelled to many countries to present Master Classes and workshops. She has over 22 years of experience and is recognized for her creative approach to fitness. In 2009 she completed courses in Gaith and Rotational Sports, by Polestar Education; and Sole to Spine, by Madeline Black. Michele Jones, BA, MEd, MS, completed the required course hours for PMA certification in 2009 and has been a certified fitness instructor since 1984 ( IDEA, ACE and AFAA ). She is also a level 3 Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist, teacher and founder of Yoga for You, and completed the Sole to Spine course by Madeline Black in 2009. Michele brings heart and energy to her teaching with the goal of bringing out the best in her students, focusing on spinal health, flexibility, core strength and a deeper body-mind connection. Her classes accommodate various levels of strength & flexibility. Charlotte Sunday, BS, RN, MSN, FNP-BC, has been a board certified family nurse practitioner since 1994 and is currently practicing at Saguaro Eastside Medical Group. Charlotte has enjoyed the personal benefits of Pilates training since 2003; and acquired the necessary hours for PMA certification by completing the Pilates Teacher Training Course taught by The Pilates Connection in 2009. She also completed the Sole to Spine course taught by Madeline Black. Charlotte is delighted to see how Pilates compliments her skills as a Nurse Practitioner; and how her skills as an NP help her to better identify imbalances and weaknesses in her Pilates clients to develop individualized training programs that will help them achieve better flexibility, core strength, full body strength and balance. Ruth Anne Lefcourt, is a Certified Zumba Gold Instructor who has had a passion for dancing all her life. In her 20's, she was a ballroom dance instructor with The Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Boston, Mass. In her 30's and 40's, she was active in Jazzercise and in her 50's taught Line Dancing for several years. Now in her 60s, she learned about Zumba Gold and had an immediate interest in getting certified and teaching something that she's truly come to love. She teaches an easy-to-follow and even-paced class that keeps you moving and helps keep your muscles and joints healthy!
