Sullivan's Eatery & Creamery

I'm broken-hearted that this wonderful entry into food, friends, and family has closed. Once it opened, my Mom and I never missed a week where we did NOT go in! It was part of our life! --- It had an interesting history after Jerry and Kathy Sullivan prevailed over a previous corporate owner for whom they had been lessees. Years later, it was sold to new owners after Jerry and Kathy Sullivan retired. The final damage was done by the pandemic that has so altered our lives. --- I am now 91 years old, have lived in Tucson since 1971. There NEVER has been a better place to pop in for the BEST hand-made ice cream on the planet, the BEST hosts/owners in the business ... who consistently hired the BEST young people to act as waiters and to serve customers the best food. The little electric train that circled its tracks on a top shelf near the entrance was a fixture! In our NW area, it was THE place to be before any UA Wildcat game in any season! On any given day, you could walk in and spot a local TV news anchor chomping on a burger or grilled sandwich. Everyone proudly 'wore the results' of doing battle with their over-loaded ice cream dishes of the past. It was a special place of fun, great food, and so many friendships. There will never BE another such place. Sad.
