Ever since I stepped foot in the door of Dr. Patel's dental office, I have felt like not only their number one patient but also like a part of their dental family. I came to Dr. Patel with an abcest so bad that my whole face was swollen and required a week recovery. It was a very difficult time for me, but the staff members of this team made this e perience not do bad. They called to check up on me several times and got back to new in no time at all. My dental problems started when I was a child, I had fillings in my baby teeth. Then came the tetracycline for chronic tonsillitis, and that antibiotic does wonders for your teeth. As a teenager I was lucky and had nice shiny metal braces, complete with headgear.



Yes, my parents were determined to give me a beautiful smile. I was thankful, but I can only remember one dentist that I actually liked and felt he genuinely cared about his patients. That was many years ago and my need to see a dentist was getting to the point of being urgent. But honestly I didn't care.



I found Southshore Dental in 2013. I read every review on Dr Patel, checked out his credentials, education, and community involvement. I read that he was moving to a new office from his King Road location. I was driving up West Road and I saw his office staff outside carrying in boxes, and there was Dr Patel caring in boxes too. That was pretty impressive :)



I lined up my financing and dental insurance and then never made an appointment. A year later, I decided it was time and I went to see Dr Patel on 7/15/2014. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was going to like the dentist.



I met Stacey Esparza - Patient Care Coordinator first and she took care of all the insurance preliminaries. I checked out the waiting room and everyone looked happy to be there, how unusual is that! I saw happy patients and a wonderful staff and then it was my turn.



I got that far, so I couldn't just leave, that would have been rude. So I met the hygienist who was absolutely fantastic and sweet and so nice.... and then Dr Patel.



He is warm, funny, compassionate and very caring.....and very gentle. I got my x-rays and my next appointment in 10 days. Can you believe I was actually looking forward to my next appointment!



I arrived and was taken into the conference room where I chatted with Stacey and then Dr. Patel came in to give me his recommended treatment plan. He actually sits down with you and explains everything and why he recommends the treatment plan. Now I really like this dentist and the staff.



These people actually spend time explaining what you need to know. This is comprehensive care from a dentist and a staff that actually cares about your dental needs.



This is not a production line of patients being shuffled around from room to room not knowing what is happening next or who the dentist will be. I know exactly what is going to happen to me, how much it is going to cost, who is doing the work and how long the procedure will take until completion. I am a happy patient and I can't wait for my first "real" appointment to start my treatment.
