Dr. Langhammer is the best. She did my right carpal tunnel release and from consult to final post-opp she has been wonderful. She has answered all worries and concerns I’ve had and reassured me every step of the way. I had a plastic surgeon with another practice do my left hand and Dr. Langhammers recovery process gave me far better results, she even got it better down to the scar...I can’t even tell surgery was done by looking at it. I can’t say enough great things about her!

He went on to pursue his passion for medicine working as a Medical Assistant and Radiology Technician in an Orthopaedic practice prior to earning his Master of PA Medicine degree from Lynchburg College (now University of Lynchburg). He then completed his doctoral training through Lynchburg College graduating with a Doctor of Medical Science degree and a fellowship in Orthopaedics with a focus in Sports Medicine. Minimally Invasive Surgery
The labrum is a piece of cartilage located on the outside rim of your hip joint that helps to keep the top of your thighbone positioned securely in the hip socket. When this piece of tissue tears, typically as a result of a sports injury, you may or may not observe any symptoms. In some cases, however, you may notice a locking, clicking, or catching feeling during movement, or there may be pain or stiffness that limits your mobility. Conservative methods, such as rest, physical therapy, and anti-inflammatory medications, can often provide sufficient healing and relief. If these minimally invasive options don’t help, we can perform minimally invasive surgery to help you return to normal activity.

Dr. DeFontes completed his foot and ankle surgery fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and his orthopaedic residency at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore. Bunion Surgery
I find Dr. Brodie to be an excellent, knowledgeable surgeon who cares about his patients. I had foot pain for about 15 years. I just had mid-foot fusion and bunion surgery on my 2nd foot and feel as though I’m on my way to hiking and enjoying outdoor activities again. Although his recovery time is a little longer, the hardware in my foot is less than other surgeons and better for me in the long run. He has been very supportive and knowledgeable about the surgery, options, and recovery. I highly recommend him.

From 2009 to 2019, Dr. Manson was an orthopaedic trauma surgeon at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center and cared for patients with complex fractures and multi-system trauma. In addition, he cared for patients from Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and West Virginia who were referred for complex fractures or infections around existing hip and knee replacements and directed the Maryland Statewide Referral System for these patients. He also had a hip and knee replacement practice at St Joseph’s Hospital during this time.

Physical Therapy
The meniscus is a piece of cushioning cartilage located in your knee that helps to prevent wear and tear to the bones in the knee joint. This bit of tissue is one of the most common cartilage injuries that can occur in the knee, particularly for athletes in contact sports and activities that require jumping or running with quick changes of direction. Depending on the degree of injury, a meniscus tear may be treated with non-invasive methods, such as rest, ice, anti-inflammatory medications, and physical therapy. More serious tears may require surgical intervention. If your doctor recommends an operation, our arthroscopic techniques can help you reduce or eliminate pain, regain mobility, and return to your favorite activities with as little downtime as possible.
