Stopped by for an inspection on the bike, prepared to leave it since I was having problems with the foot brake. Vince was awesome, fixed the problem in 15 minutes and was great. Everybody was friendly and I'd definitely go back again for repair or bike purchase!

Customer Beware!

I don't know what happened to this place!!! I have been using Midway Yamaha for a couple of years now after a friend recommended it to me as a friendly, honest, family business. All was well until January last year when I ordered a part I needed for my bike and very soon there after (within 30 days) no longer needed the part and asked if I could return it. I was told by Shane that they could only return items once a quarter and the next time would be in a couple of months and that there would most likely be a 20% restocking fee which I completely understood. We agreed that I would bring the part back in a couple of months closer to the next quarterly return time. A few months after I returned the part to Midway I went in for a tire and oil change and inquired about the returned part. I was told again by Shane that he was working on it and was waiting to hear from Yamaha. He told me that he would call me as soon as he heard something. I waited again until late September with not a single call from Midway so I called them and spoke with Shane again. I let him know that I was not happy with not receiving any communication on the matter and that I needed to know something or I could just go there pick up the part instead of it just sitting there. Again Shane told me that he would get on the phone to find out when he could return the part and give me a call back soon. In late December my friend who recommended me to Yamaha spoke with Susan at Midway Yamaha on the phone and the subject of my part came up. My friend told me that Susan told him she needed to contact me and get the issue figured out. Here it is now January 30, 2015 and I have not received a single call from Midway Yamaha concerning returning the part. I called them this morning and Susan took my call. She told me that they didn't have the credit with Yamaha to return the part and that the soonest she could try again would be in August. I told her that I had waited long enough and that I would be by to pick it up and be done doing business with them. I arrived at Midway 35 minutes later and picked up my part. I told Susan that this was not the way to treat a customer and that she knew that how they were treating me as a customer was wrong. My friend who recommended me to Midway Yamaha hasn't done business with them for months as a direct result of how they have been mishandling this situation and neither have I. The part cost me $200 and I know that they have already lost that and more from myself and my friends lost business. Susan acknowledged the lost business from myself and my friend as well. All I can say to a potential customer of this business is if you are simply buying something and expect it to go perfectly then you may be ok but if if you find you need true, honest customer service then you may want to look for help elsewhere. It is a shame to see a family business like this treat its customers this way. I have gone out of my way to do business with Midway Yamaha when I could have bought a part online for a little cheaper but chose to spend my money locally and support small businesses.

Overall
Excellent customer service

The owner, harvey, and other staff are very professional. I have purchased a dirtbike, and 4 wheeler for my son. Being a female, shopping for a motorcycle can be a little intimadating......but harvey answered all of my questions honestly, and my son has truely enjoyed both his dirtbike and fourwheeler.
