Not only was buying my ford F- 150 fun but entertaining, the sales men I dealt with were not only very professional but they had a great sense of humor. They made me feel really important and they took care of all of my needs I highly recommend this dealership.

Overall

Just bought a used Lexus and the service was stellar. Pete picked me up at the airport and the car was just being dried off as we got to the dealer. Pete had already explained where the few paint nicks were and the interior was pristine. Paperwork was accomplished in no time and there were no surprises. If nothing major goes wrong (I'll retrun to this review if so) I'll conclude it was a great deal and sterling service.

Do not go here for warranty work. Went to get our car looked at for an intermittant transmission problem and they said they test drove it and found nothing was wrong with it. So I was charged $80 (plus $5 for shop supplies????)even though the car is still under warranty for a tech to test drive my car and say its fine. Still have the same problem and I won't be taking it back to this dealership. This place is a total ripoff.

Took our car there for the 4th...

Took our car there for the 4th time for an oil change. The last 3 visits explained that there was an abnormal noise coming from the rear & that it was exceptionally loud. First time I told them they said they looked but didn't "see" anything unusual and everything looked fine. The 2nd time I told them of the noise they I asked that a technician drive the car. They drove it both in town and on the freeway but heard nothing "unusual". Today I take it in and ask that they rotate the tires and look at the brakes too because the noise is still there. Over an hour later they tell me I need two new tires and an alignment BADLY. Then the proceeded to still do the tire rotation. Was this so that I would come back with the need to purchase FOUR new tires?!?!?! I had them switch it back but NEVER again! NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!!!!! Even if the mechanic lacked so much knowledge that they didn't know the alignment was off all this time then certainly they should have known enough not to rotate the tires. ABSURD!

I agree with other comments regarding the service manager. He tried tell me that because his staff only wrote notes regarding the noise ONE of the three times that I must be wrong in that I actually said anything. And when asked "Do you think it was a good decision to rotate the tires on a car that is out of alignment he stated, I have no answer." He actually screamed at me in the service department as if any of this was my fault.

Your local Ford Stealership

I took my vehicle in to Schmit Ford for work, and was given a price to fix it. They told me they'd have to order parts, which would be in the next day and would repair it then. Then next morning, they called and said that their Ford catalog has the incorrect price, and it would be $175 more than quoted.

I decided to call another Ford dealer and they quoted me the same "new" price, telling me that Schmit was either misleading me, or messed up and wanted me to take the hit for it.

After we finally agreed on splitting the difference, I pick up my vehicle and was on my way. Unfortunately, the alternators (which had to be removed during the repair) was bad immediately following the repair. Of course, it's possible that the alternator "just went bad" as they argued. But it seems a strange coincidence.

The worst part of this experience is that their service manager tried to tell me that the other Ford dealership I called was probably trying to mislead me about the lower price because that's what a lot of dealership's do. Ironic that he called out other dealerships and left me feeling like they were the ones misleading me. I now drive 40 miles to another dealership instead of going to Schmit.
