Furniture delivered damaged and tried to blame buyers. Chair was picked-up for repair and returned in the same not fixed condition. Called store to talk with owner and told I had a mental problem for complaining. They also took money out of our account before furniture was delivered. Make the same mistake we did and be prepared to get a lawyer.

My husband and I ordered a couch and chair from The Cricket Box and ten weeks later they have not arrived. After numerous calls and excuses I just wanted my money back. Of course they could not do that but it might be another one to two weeks for furniture to arrive. I was hung up on THREE times and called unreasonable. I will never go in this store again!!

My fiance and I recently visit...

My fiance and I recently visited the Cricket Box in search for couches. We were approached by a lady (can't remember her name) that was really nice, but was a bit pushy at times. She would say that she will walk away and let us browse only to return 1-2 minutes later. We found some furniture that we liked and were pretty set on it, but decided we wanted to check other locations. We found the same piece of furniture $100 cheaper somewhere else, but decided we would come back to Cricket Box and see if they could price match since the lady was nice. We were informed that the furniture was already at "rock-bottom prices" and they couldn't come down. That could be true considering they have to have huge overhead considering their showroom is humongous yet only half full. We decided to go with the other furniture store. The only reason it is a 2 star as opposed to a 1 star is because the lady was pretty nice. Other than that the furniture in the store seemed pretty dated with a not so great selection and was overpriced in comparison to other stores.

Be careful going into this sto...

Be careful going into this store. The wife of the owner/sales woman apparently runs the store as a dictatorship and treats customers as captives there for her pleasure. After explaining that we would just like to browse, she followed us around giving us the entire life history of every piece we glanced at often interrupting my husband or me to do so. If we kept talking after she interrupted, she would talk over us. At one point my husband was looking at a dresser and accidentally pulled a drawer out because it was half the length it should have been based on the depth of the dresser. Turns out, there was a secret drawer behind it and therefore it had no catch like it should have. The sales lady got very snotty with us, telling us to just set the drawer down and she would put it back. After walking away from her several times trying to show our interest in being left alone, my husband was yet again interrupted by her. He turned to her and tried to start to explain that we would really like to just browse by ourselves for a bit. However as soon as the word alone left his lips, she interrupted again with a ten minute tirade about how impolite we were being. She lectured us like a 1st grade teacher on a power trip yelling at naughty students caught chatting. She told us how "her customer's" were supposed to behave and how they returned over and over again for her help. Apparently we were only allowed to touch or test the furniture if we specifically asked permission for each piece and had already decided to buy it, despite the numerous signs everywhere saying "please touch" or "try this out". I have never liked the bullying sales technique and I would rather drive to Indy than return here for anything.
