I bought half my appliances (Whirlpool microwave hood, double oven and built-in ice maker) and the fireplace from Clark's when I built my home. All the appliances have worked flawlessly without any need for repair for TEN years! ...and they were willing to exchange the front for the fireplace to match my decor. I was impressed by the polite and thorough reply to my recent email asking about washing machines, giving me several options, including the most reasonable estimate for repairing my 16 year old washer. This is a company that really cares about the customer.

Avoid these folks if you need appliance repair service. They charged my 90 year old mom $63 to come out and tell her she needed a new latch on her dishwasher. I spoke with the technician asked him to order the part, and he promised it would be in the next day if ordered by 3:00. A week and half later, after a number of phone calls, it hadn't arrived and I cancelled the order. At various stages during that week and a half different people I talked to said (a) they didn't know anything about it and I'd need to call back the next business day, (b) that the problem was with UPS and they had no control over it, and finally, (c) that the problem was due to the parts house not having have any of the latches in their inventory. Oh, and by the way, they were going to charge another $75 to come out and install it - in addition to the initial $63 they charged to diagnose the problem and the $40+ the part was going to cost.

I have used Clark's several times. I had service done - they came right away, the price was fair. (I was not pressured to use a credit card as the other commentor claimed.) And I have purchased a new refrigerator and used their 12 months same as cash credit. I was not happy with the first unit delivered. I had picked it out originally but once it arrived I was not happy with the size and the way the shelved aligned inside. I called right away and they agreed to take it back without any fuss. Ms Grace helped me pick out another unit to my liking and even helped me find a good deal on a close-out unit to help save money in buying a bigger unit. I am VERY pleased with them. I paid it off in the 12 month period and look forward to using that credit again at their store. I have known about Clark's Applicances for about 25 years when they were just a glimmer of a business run by two people in a tiny place way in back of another place! They've done well and that doesn't happen by accident.

Don't trust this store to do any service. Most business give you up to 30 days to pay for service. This store will start sending rude bill collectors after you only 3 days. Also, they will presure to pay with a credit card and then when your check comes in they will cash that as well. The affect of this is, they will bill you twice and leave you in a very bad place. I would not do any further business with them or recomend anyone to go there for anything.
